Ummmm beginning to not like the look of my flight with a scheduled 11am arrival into Dublin on Thursday.

Could be a nasty S/ SSW... Hope I don't end up in Shannon!

The wind must be out of limits for takeoff for stobarts in cork? There's 1 sitting on the runway with the last 10-15 minutes and another waiting to line up as well!
Unless does anyone know if there's a problem with it?

EI3701 holding at Cork due to gusts. 27G35

Despite strong southwesterly winds at DUB this morning it got away without any real disruption! The winds have died down now alot in DUB,SNN and NOC and I don't exactly understand how, the forecast didn't say they would dis down this much.

It was forecast to die down to between 14-19kt in Dublin between 9am and 12pm with the gusts staying around 30kt, there was still a few reported gusts of up to 40kts between 10 and 11, winds and gusts are due to pick back up again after 12pm

At one stage there was a difference of 163kts between the 2 stobarts in the hold this morning! When EI3701 was facing south westerly it was doing 103kts, and at the exact same time EI3721 was facing north easterly and doing 270kts!

There must be some winds at that height!

Both stobarts sticking around until 11:30 at Cork and then heading to SNN if conditions don't improve.

Whereabouts on the website are they?

EI3701 diverting to SNN. If I'm not mistaken in what I heard they need a max gust below 35kts, and its been stubborn between 35kts and 40kts.

EI3721 turning back and making an Approach as gusts are now 33kts. Gusts got back up to 36kts but it landed.

they're not publicly available for some reason, you need to have a pilot's log in to sign in to the briefing page. I don't know why they keep this info restricted given that anyone can request access to it claiming to be a (student) pilot and it is free

MetroJet KGL9263 Airbus A321 en route over Sinai Peninsula, presumably heading for Sharm El-Sheikh.

EDIT - Spoke too soon, flying over Cairo now, not Sinai.

The diverted stobart off from SNN, looks to be heading towards Edinburgh, likley empty. The outbound flight from Cork seems to be cancelled. The BRS flight from Cork is also cancelled, despite the aircraft from that flight actually making it to Cork.

www.apps.progaero.com and wx charts. Unfortunately it looks like they have restricted the stores that can sell it, so i might have given you a bum steer.

They have worldwide prognostic charts and wind charts, its a great resource.

EI3805 EI-FAT which was the earlier diverted stobart went around at Cork and landed on its second attempt a few minutes ago.

A reason for what appears to be a modest amount of holding going on for Dublin approaches..??

A PA-31 on the approach flying extremely slowly I imagine in that wind.
