    but she's a 2.2

You'd still definitely know you had it behind you any kind of a reasonable hill I don't see how it would pull it up without serious momentum.

What happens if there's an accident?? It was on my FB page too

Some say ratchets straps are really strong and can be used for all sorts of jobs. Theyre doing a grand job there

Surly it would void your insurance as your towing more weight than the jeep is rated to pull. Trailer is over loaded so brake would not be up to it on the jeep or trailer. Also depends on whether the driver has a BE licence or not that would be another law they are breaking. But then isn't there a weight limit of 3.5 ton gvw on car licence so not sure if even a BE would be good enough.

I'd say them straps are the least of the problem. I'm sorry I ever said anything about them on that other thread :pac:

I had to go down to New Ross this evening I though grand have a nice drive down back roads should be quite. Well how wrong could I be its like everyone who has kids put them in the car and started driving around at 50-60 km in 80-100km zones I honestly overtook at least 10 times and still spent most of my time sitting behind them. The only conclusion I've came too is that I need a way way faster car power or rather lack of never bothered me until this year now it does big time.

Pretty sure we went through this before and you were defiant that an 89bhp 1.5 Diesel engine was plenty fast enough and "could easily be at illegal speeds in three gears".

I'm not trying to come across as harsh but I do remember saying it to you that it's a gutless engine.... A nice punchy diesel needs about 120bhp+ for making decent progress.

You really don't seem keen on that Megane, I'd have kept the commercial Golf.

Lads, roof racks, who/what would be the place to sort them? Was thinking Thule?

The bigger question is why would you want them???

    Thule, yes.

    Mont Blanc, alternatively. :)

I think a BE licence is the least of the worries there now....

Trailer is going to be doing the driving there :pac::pac:

Oh I know I was well warned. Infairness power never really bothered me until recent months I was always happy out with around 90bhp I thought it was fine at the start. I was going to buy a 1.4 golf so what would I be saying now I couldn't overtake at all :pac:

Ah it's fine I'll drive it on for another while and then buy something quicker. The biggest issue is trying to get higher bhp cars around that year within that segment.

Looking at picking up some form of biking again so would need a rack to carry the bike!

Anyone know how much a garage would charge for a gearbox oil change on a 5 speed mk3 mondeo ?

Ah right, for the bmw I take it? Just be so careful with what you buy, some of them look chronic bad and and take from the car. I take it you'll be taking it on/off?

Why bother. When you can wait 6 months for it to change back?

Sure all the journey times would be out and everything. School runs would be reading 9 - 10 instead of 8 - 9 etc. A tacho is one thing that the correct time is important on, whatever about anything else.

Yeah for the BM alright, I'll probably leave it on full time as they actually look quite good, especially with a Fairing on, it'll kind of end up looking "USDM".

    Just get a boot rack.

I'll need a rack anyway as I have a few trips planned with some lads where a roof box would be required, so I might as well go for the roof option.

Just know the noise and drop in fuel economy will drive ya nuts.

AH I'm well used to the noise from previous trips with one, fuel economy? Don't know what that is anyway :pac:

Maybe I've missed something here but from what I understand is you want to start cycling. Well then why the fúck don't you cycle instead of bringing your bike for a drive

Seems like it would save a lot of trouble!

And if I want to go elsewhere that's not local  it's not road biking I want to do, more mountain/trail.

Any sort of car, bike or motocross helmet will do.

Mondello Park rent out helmets for €10 with a €20 deposit.
