Does the OPT use the same sim as the OPO?

Does the OPT use the same sim as the OPO?

OPT uses nano sims. But if you have a micro Sim, some of those can turn into a Nano (if it has the edge perforated) Alternatively, your network provider will provide a nano sim free of charge & it usually takes a minute or 2 to switch to the new sim

Have you backed up using something like Google Photos? Or dropbox?

Not too comfortable using cloud storage. Is there any other way?

    It's getting closer :)

I signed up for the DHL notifications, but I haven't gotten any. So I'd advise checking the site directly if you are waiting for updates.

Mine left the East midlands this morning. I did the same for notifications and got none

I actually got an email from them this morning to say it was out for delivery.

    Still nothing yet though.

Nice, you'll get it this afternoon.

Can you tell me the time between yours leaving the East Midlands and arriving in Dublin?

Android phones (at least since switching to MTP rather than "native" access) typically require https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ to be installed, so if you haven't that it might explain it

There was a delay with the flight this morning. They didn't get to deliver them all today apparently.

    Tomorrow

How do I get more apps on my home page?

On my OPO I had 5 across, now I only have 4. The setting doesn't seem to be where it used to be.

    Am I missing something silly?

Long press on an empty spot on the home screen and then you should be able to access settings and change the grid size from there.

Whoops sorry, then my suggestion is Nova!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,459 ✭✭✭T-b0n3

I was on Exodus, I thought I would give the default OS a goal on the OPT, But maybe I'll have to the think that.

Thanks for reminding me of Nova. Just installed that now and it has solved that issue alright :)

6x6 now which I find much better.

    Cheers.

Now the next issue on my list is getting rid of the notification "Change Keyboard" every time my keyboard is displayed.

    Hi folks,
Starting to panic here have bought a OP2 and it's in Heathrow so not far away, I've had an Iphone 4 for the last few years so am a long time out of the loop as regards android although I still have an Google play account. As an Emobile/Eir customer I assume I can walk into any of their shops and they will transfer sims and contacts etc. Not sure about rooting as I don't think I've ever done that before.
Any other tips or should I just fiddle around with it and check out the OP2 forum etc.

If you're using an iphone then the contacts are on the phone, not the sim. You should be able to backup your contact using google drive on the iphone and restore them on the OP2 using the same app.

    Anyone

I'd imagine that should be very straight forward.

I have all my contacts saved with google already so didn't have to do it myself.

But a quick google suggests: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/4416038?hl=en

    That help?

Gent, thanks, off to get my Nano SIM now, excited.

If anyone else is suffering from this, my solution was to delete the google keyboard from the Applications option in settings.

Not the best or prettiest solution, but I can always re-download it if required, and the notification was really bugging me.

Slightly pissed off with oneplus. Why would they not advertise that the phone ships with a glass screen protector already on the phone.

OK so anyone ordering, there is no need to order a screen protector, as one comes included as a gift from oneplus

Don't be pissed off that you got something for free.

    Classic Irish attitude ;)

I removed my free protector and put on my Orzly one as I prefer the feeling of the tempered glass and its also better protection.
