    Sunderland have announced that the recent contract offered to the current Spartak Moskow manager, Mr. Mack Eire, has been declined as the manager wants to continue his efforts to try and keep the Russian side in the top division. Sunderland chairman, Ellis Short, is now reported to be desperately on the lookout for a new manager to replace E. Bear. and may even appoint the first manager to apply for the vacancy.



    In other news, talks between Sporting and Roma have progressed to an advanced stage in relation to a possible managerial transfer, which will see current Roma manager R. Garcia return his roots in Lisbon. Reports are suggesting that the Italian club are reluctant to allow him leave, and could well look for a sizeable consolation package from the Portuguese side.

    There are rumours coming out of Italy that are claiming Roma have sent a club official to Argentina in an attempt to lure an unnamed manager away from his club. It is yet unknown as to whether this move by the Italians will be the bearer of much fruit.

    After several failed attempts to lure an unnamed manager out of Argentina, AS Roma have now sent a club official to Gelsenkirchen to speak with FC Schalke representatives over the possible transfer of their manager, Mourinho, to the Stadio Olimpico. However, a club official is still in Argentina suggesting they have not yet given up hopes about signing who clearly seems to be their preferred candidate for the current vacancy.

    I've been managing here now a couple of seasons and have done pretty alright. I'm never going to overtake anyone on manager rating though so how am I supposed to compete for the big jobs? Unless a division 1 job opening comes up and I'm unopposed, I have no chance. Its like a job with no progression :P
