One of the shots aimed at Belichick, Brady and the Pats so often. It is of course ridiculous.

They will take him far, probably the best in football right now.

One I've never levelled, If your offence throws up 70 points, good job you coached them better.

Denver D just won them the game now.

    Edit:Overturned

Denver's D has won all five games this season.

Cowboys will surely give Cassel a shot coming off the bye in their next game? Nothing to lose really.

Manning and the Denver offence are converting 18% of third downs.

They are constantly going three and out and it will eventually wear down the defence.

Brady will be quietly ecstatic with that rout given Hardy's comments during the week.

I love Hardy for it, its what made me so confident in the Pats covering that I was able to have a big cut off them :)

3-3 at the moment in the late game. This game will tell us exactly where the Giants are at right now. A convincing win tells us to watch out, a close game tells us they are just average and a loss tells us they are just as bad as the rest of the NFC East. 49ers are not a good team right now but they'll best the bad teams.

I wonder will we ever see a game where OBJ plays and they don't mention 'the catch'.

There was a spear tackle a minute ago, that lad has obviously been watching the Rugby World Cup.

Do 13-6 to the Giants at half time. Should be 16-6, Eli threw a pick with eleven seconds remaining in the half and the Giants in the red zone.

All tied up at13-13 early in the third. Good drive from San Fran right there with lots of Boldin and Carlos Hyde with a bit of Jarryd Hayne thrown in.

Big touchdown there from Beckham. San Francisco really had momentum.

Bad is kind. Atrocious would be more accurate. Lombardi is out of his depth, but don't think it's all his fault. There seems to be a collective cluelessness

Because g honest I did t get the appointment of (a d positivity surrounding) Jim Caldwell. The guy so ply does not have a very good track record, even when the Colts were doing well with him he was just continuing Dungys regime as it slowly deteriorated around him. As much as the likes of Schwartz were seen as being too aggressive, that identity did still suit them and has served other Detroit teams well in the past, like the NBA Pistons. Sure their indiscipline was overboard on a good few occasions, but Caldwell just strikes me as very... vanilla. And that absolutely does not suit Detroit whatsoever.

Giants get a field goal to go back ahead 23-20. Just under five minutes on the clock, I'd fancy the niners to agree least tie it up.

And there it Is, td niners, 27-23 with 1.45 left on the clock. Giants have all their timeouts so it's possible they come back and win it seeing as Eli is pretty decent at the two minute drill.

I'm closing my eyes for the next 20 seconds.

Larry Donnell with a fantastic catch to almost certainly win it for the Giants. 21 seconds left for the 49ers to get a field goal for overtime. Shane Verney had a ridiculous amount of catches on that drive.

Thank you big Larry. Goodnight folks.

So the Giants manage to grab the win but it's quite clear they are a very ordinary bunch.

    A very banged up bunch.

They have a great shot at getting to the playoffs though, and once there anything can happen. If Eli hits one of his streaks, with weapons like Vereen, Cruz and Beckham they could be a handful in the playoffs.

They pretty much only had four or five starters playing on defence last night, rest was 2nd or 3rd string.

Just caught up on most of the games. What an insane group of games.

Oakland have really improved. That said, they let the Broncos out of jail. To be fair, Oakland's offensive line probably coped better with Denver's defense than everyone I have seen this season, but they just came up short.

That was a big win by the Bengals. They seem sure to win their division, but playoffs is not enough for this team. Even though I have been blowing smoke up everyone's ass this season, I think they will struggle to beat the Patriots when it matters.

I wouldn't be too critical of him to be honest. The Ravens offense was poor against an exceptional Broncos D in the opener, but put up 30 points on the Browns tonight, 23 in Pittsburgh last week, 24 against the Bengals and 33 against the Raiders.

I don't think Trestman could be expected to do any more considering that he doesn't have an even somewhat reasonable starting offense at his disposal. He's had nothing even close to it so far and the Ravens top draft pick is a wide receiver critical to the gameplan who hasn't been fit enough to play a snap thus far. Our WR corps tonight were Kamar Aiken, Jeremy Ross, Marlon Brown and Darren Waller.

Pees is a far bigger worry for me. Yes, Suggs is out which is a huge loss, but regardless the defensive personnel we have is much better than what he has done with it. Conceding 37 points to the Raiders and 33 to the Browns is an embarrassment no matter what way you look at it.

PFF taking a not so subtle dig

Uhh... "Trestman’s Chicago career ultimately crashed and burned, with Cutler taking much of the blame for Trestman’s firing as well as the firing of the man who signed him to an expensive, long-term contract extension, GM Jerry Angelo."

Nice of them to let The Smartest Man in the Room off the hook there...also I'm pretty sure Jason Campbell was the backup before McCown, not Hanie.

    But Trestman is still ****.
