How Seahawks v Bengals is not on tv baffles me

Surprised they didn't bump the Patriots Cowboys into SNF given how bad the 49ers and Giants have been. Particularly the 49ers I guess but they can only flex 2 games between weeks 5 and 10 and my not want to start this early but its a poor game on paper at least.

Think there's a quota on how many times a team can be on prime time. Pats and Cowboys would definitely be maxed out

Yeah, by far the pick of the entire day's games. Who picks these games for Sky and can they not change them as it becomes apparent certain teams are not going to be competing by years end?

In fairness, at least the Eagles v Saints has the feeling of an eliminator about it, though everything I have seen from the Eagles this year has been pretty awful.

The Patriots v Cowboys matchup doesn't do much for me, unless you enjoy seeing someone wail on another team. That said, only -8.5 for the Patriots has to be worth a bet surely?

    Picks:
Colts @ Texans ; Luckless Colts?
Bills @ Titans ; Wheels coming off for the Bills?
Bears @ Chiefs ; Chiefs to bounce back with 8 FG's
Browns @ Ravens ; Raven's to build on Steelers win.
Jaguars @ Buccaneers ; Winston reminds me of Byron Leftwich.
Saints @ Eagles ; Eagles to continue to improve (slightly)
Rams @ Packers ; Rogers improvising against that front. Want to see.
Redskins @ Falcons ; Falcons to have it a bit tougher this week.
Seahawks @ Bengals ; Bengals have looked great Seahawks, less so.
Cardinals @ Lions ; Lions have to be done at this stage.
Patriots @ Cowboys ; Patriots by 21- at least.
Broncos@ Raiders ; no longer a gimmie, but fancy Denver here.
49ers @ Giants ; Giants take control of the East.
Steelers @ Chargers ; Vick-led Steelers no match for San Diego.

Games can't be flexed till later in the season.

Week 11 for flex I think

I know the Colts are struggling, but if I was a Colts fan one of the few teams I'd be glad to see coming up this week would be the Texans who have been all sorts of awful on D the last few weeks. QB situation is a mess too.

Think they might have changed the flex to week 5 this year. Not sure though

Games can be flexed from week 5. 2 games can be flexed between week 5 and week 10.

Has to be one of the afternoon games though that moves.

    Where are the Bengals -1?

It's been eaten up. Best you'll get them at now seems to be -2.5.

    They absolutely were -1 though.

Yeah I saw it elsewhere as well that they were -1 and went to fill my boots but it had shifted to -3 already

Was hoping somewhere still had it that I hadn't seen :)

It's Thursday already here in S.E Asia but it'll be 2m morning before I can watch Thursday night football. But I can't complain!

Anyone know the deal with Luck, took the Colts -1.5 last night when all reports where he was starting, now they shifted to +2.5!

Says a fair bit about Texans when I'd still be confident of Colts 3rd choice QB. Low scoring game awaits I imagine.

Any info on Luck yet? I expect him to play even though he is listed as questionable but will be keeping my money in my wallet if he isnt!

I think Pagano might be taking the piss a bit/playing mind-games with the Texans. Luck took most of the snaps in practice throughout the week and most reports from early in the week suggest he'll be back.

On a similar note, wasn't Brady listed as "probable" on the Patriots' injury report for about 3 whole years between 2005-2008? :pac:

He was, sometimes questionable :) Right shoulder I believe!

Loads of tough games to choose there, I feel. Wouldn't surprise me to finish negative this week.

Hasselbeck starts for the colts tonight, per Schefter. No Andrew Luck again this week.

Hasselback was ill since Sunday and only came out of hospital a day and a half ago apparently.

I thought they might have went with Josh Johnson, he looked fairly decent during the preseason with the Jets

I don't know if anything is certain there yet. Luck is slated to throw pregame and I'm sure if he says everything feels good that he will play.

I can understand leaving him out for this one tough, when you have JJ Watt and Jadeveon Clowney on the other teams DL it might just be a smart move to leave out a guy with a dodgy shoulder.

Think the Texans will prove too much for us and Hasselbeck (who seems to be very sick) tonight. Cant see any reason for the neutrals to watch this? Expecting an error ridden game.

Ok I'm switching, the Colts to run out of Luck at long last (sorry)

. Cant see any reason for the neutrals to watch this? .

An excuse to crack open a beer, and being left to watch football uninterrupted, are two good enough reasons for this neutral.

Patriots have to play both of them is one of my reasons to watch this game.

Every game is attractive when you think of how long the offseason is. Come May I'd do sick things to be able to watch Prime Time football :)

Yeah, it's a pretty crappy bunch of games this weekend. But they're games all the same.

Was literally just about to post that Foster looks like he knocked the rust off last week and was looking like he was getting back to form. Then that happened. :pac:

He really should have made that catch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

The Colts are such a bloody soft team. No pass rush or run defense on that first drive. So lucky to get away there on the dropped pass. Texans look totally reliant on Foster and Hopkins.
