    I'm fine with this.
I know. We'll probably never get to see anything like that in mainstream wrestling.

I fully understand why blood and shots to the head are longer a part of pro wrestling. I am in support of these decisions for the health of the performer.

But as a fan, I'd fooking love to see Lesnar crack Taker over the head with a chair at HIAC and Taker to leak an absolute gusher.

It was only recently enough I discovered one of the big driving factors behind the no blood thing (that wasn't the oncoming PG era). In a HiaC match between Undertaker and Randy and Cowboy Bob Orton, Bob was both busted open. The thing was, Bob has Hepatitis C, and could have quite easily infected Undertaker.

Kicker was, Johnny Ace knew about it, and still had Bob do a blade job.

The Cell match was 1-on-1 IIRC. The angle were Bob bled was either at No Mercy or on Smackdown. That was also 2005 and blood wasn't banned until mid-2008 but yeah, that was ridiculous all the same. Abdullah the Butcher was successfully sued by a wrestler who claimed he was infected from a double blade job.

Well the match might have been 1 on 1, but Cowboy Bob was definitely there, and he got into the cage and did a blade job at Armageddon 2005.

Oh 100%. It's for the safety of the workers first and foremost. Even before they became PG they could always just insert different camera angles if guys bleed.

They could easily do protected chairshots to the head with hands up and it would look and sound great. The blood ban isnt as strict as before at least not for Brock. He bled at Extreme Rules 2012 and this year's Mania. Hunter got hard way colour at Mania 28 too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Well hard way colour can be defended somewhat by the workers, whereas blading is fairly hard to explain if they're flat out not meant to be doing. But different rules for the higher ups.

Blood was banned in the 90s when Bret Hart was doing blade jobs and pretending it was an accident ie. Vince looked the other way. It is totally possible to get a grudge match over as intense without blood.

The only place I've seen them in physical shops is in Maplin, if thats of any help!

Got one of these for the interested party. http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-15-DPS3500

It has the Netflix and WWE Network app + others (UK obvs require unblockus type workaround) and built in wifi. Slightly cheaper than the Roku in Maplin (€120) but it plays discs which was important.

Currently watching Nitro from September 1995 on the live stream. The last time I watched this episode was probably some time early last year. I always laugh when I see V.K Wallstreet. It's a pity Sting didn't use Man Called Sting in WWE and totally rip the piss with it.

I have an android box I've tried to watch network on but after 5 minutes of playing smoothly it jumps back to main menu of app , ifi hit play again , again it plays fine then after 5 minutes back to main menu

Anyone have this issue or know how to fix it?

Network sucks on androd I've found. Would advise uninstalling ad reinstalling, clearing cache, close all other apps etc.

Was the The November 10th 1997 episode(the one after the Montreal screw job) live ? I seem to remember that ric rude was on both nitro and raw on the same night but hbk had the title so did the fans in ottawa now the result of the survivor series match before it happened ?

It was a live show. Rude appeared on both shows the following week.

The show that Rude appeared on was taped two nights after Survivor Series (November 11 IIRC). Nitro was live and the Raw commentary was recorded after it was taped. There's a few in-jokes from Cornette about Rude as lawyer being in two places at once or something.

New table for 3 is up and it's an intercontinental champs one
We got Dolph, ryback, and Daniel Bryan. I liked it and ryback seems like a cool guy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 908 ✭✭✭Palo Alto

Dolph seems like a douche, wish he wasn't there, he added nothing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

It's sad that Daniel Bryan is being identified more as an Intercontinental champion than a World's.

Is Brock's podcast with Austin scheduled for tonight after Raw ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,216 ✭✭✭Ageyev

    Nope, 18th or 9th I think.

NXT documentary airs tonight af6er Raw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

It's this day fortnight that he'll be on the Podcast. That's the go-home edition before Hell In A Cell. From the sounds of things a couple of things actually happened on the pre-show tonight.

The nxt 24 from last night is utterly superb.

It was a brilliant doc. My favourite part of the doc was when they talked about FCW and how terrible that place was.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,960 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Great doc. They all came across really well and were understandably very proud of how far they'd come. Becky's mother must have been a fine thing in her day too :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

You beat me to it. I came on here to say Becky Lynch's mother out-foxes John Laurinaitis' bird. I had forgotten about the reports that she had a camera crew with her at the last TakeOver.

The NXT Docu is absolutely amazing. My favourite 24 so far without a doubt

Raw and Smackdown from 2002 being added it looks like.

Late 2002 Smackdown was excellent. Raw in 2002 was so-so.
