Some days there will be three flights LAX, IAD and YYZ some days two some days just the one it depends on the schedule.

ET500 and ET502 are only stopping in dublin some days for fuel and crew change before traveling on to their final destinations.
ET504 has passengers getting off in dublin and others getting on, before traveling on to LAX.

ET500 and ET502 always tech-stop at DUB (westbound only, of course). ET500 is daily, while ET502 is three days a week, as is ET504 to LAX which has passenger pick-up rights at DUB.

I see a delta 757 from Paris to Pittsburgh diverted to Dublin earlier and was met by the emergency services. Anyone know the issue?

It was pressurization problem apparently. Friend of mine who is a guard in the area told me. They were informed about it so must have been serious enough.

you sure it isnt a planned stop?

when its a cargo plane, these type of stops could be routine.

It was a full emergency with fire crews from outside the airport in attendance. Probably smoke in the hold which will be a false alarm.

What's the fire category of Shannon airport, it's a cargo aircraft so what is the need for the external fire services, I can't remember the last time the DFB were called for fire back up at Dublin.

It's CAT 9. When a full emergency or mayday call local services are called.

The Clare herald are reporting an engine shut down. I thought engine 2 on the tail looked as if the reverse thrust doors weren't in sync when on the approach. I could be way off though!

Interestingly the fire category of an airport is based on the fuselage length and width of the largest expected aircraft.

In the case of this MD-11 even though it may only carry a small number of crew it is treated as if it had a full complement of pax on board.

Just spotted EI-EZW headed from EDI for Shannon and EI-EZV from Aberdeen for Dublin, Flightradar saying they're Virgin Little Red, are they also flights coming in to be de-virgined?
