Every thing north of mallow is dodgy in my book, just a little bit too limerick for my liking.

In other news someone must have put the bad juju on me for all my recent insurance arguing.

Got shunted from behind today by someone who couldn't drive their new car. Pig ignorant about it too, i was apparently being a complete inconvenience to them.

How f**kin dare I want to cover myself against any loss sure my old Japanese car isn't worth one wheel on a Paddy Prestige german cor.????

Learn to drive f**ckers, I've managed to not ram anyone from behind with my cheap Japanese cars, maybe you should have spent a bit more and got a model with auto braking if you can't manage it? But sure the neighbours only car about the reg and the badge ha?

That's my rant out of the way, I'll say no more on it until I'm happy no innocent parties have lost out due to someone else being careless and ignorant.

Two quick snaps from Iceland. It's desolate in areas. This is the central highlands. There was a sign 20k back saying 'petrol 205km'

Some Icelandic airline has opened up a new direct route to Dublin which has me tempted cause I've always wanted to see it.
The costs are supposed to be lethal there though.

It was grand. It was going back to cork anyway. Some good drive though. I could only imagine the wtf faces on people who were driving other way. :D

Waaaay to many civics and altezzas for my liking though. Only one Subaru too!! What's that about?!

    We were south cork. :)

Nothing wrong with limerick. My misses is from limerick. Once you get over blond pony tail, bright pink tight pants. Ring earrings and that accent it's grand. :D

I'm fairly sure the focus was involved in some sort of an accident previously. Musn't be that awful much (through insurance) as the motorcheck report didn't throw up anything. What leads me to this conclusion is a number of things. First off, the drivers alloy was a different alloy to the other 3 (damaged in accident?). The arch lining of the same wheel was broken (about half remained). Thirdly, when I went to fix a bit of chipped off the front bumper, it appeared it was previously touched, with mesh being used. (More than likely as a medium to hold fillers)

The paintwork looks perfect during the day, but at night, lights hold no mercy to dodgy paint. The drivers door, back door, wing and bonnet are the proper blue, along with the B pillars and roof. However the rest of the car, i.e both bumpers, passenger side doors, passenger wing, and boot door are tinged purple.

I took this pic which shows the back drivers door, with the bottom corner of it having said purple tinge, when the rest of the door is blue.

I noticed this a long time ago, but only asking now.

Like I said, the paintwork looks all perfect, same colour etc in daylight and even in direct sun. Strange one

Didn't you just get it machine polished and detailed???

Did the guys doing that not check depth levels etc... As they would have been able to tell you instantly what work had been done to it paint wise

Has anyone ever rang the 1890205805 number to report dangerous driving? I've just reported a woman (use that term loosely) who nearly took the front off me on the m50. I blared the horn at her and managed to get alongside her as she was trying to get from the far outside lane to the n7 slip (at the last minute as usual). I beeped the horn at her and shook my head - her retort was the middle finger.

Feck it says I - i'll report that. So I just have.

Anyone have any experience from this before?

Unfortunately that defines the "Cork Car Scene" :( I'd say I was one of maybe 5 petrol RWD cars. People just don't know man!

I went right and took a casual spin home, passed an undercover and regular squad car on the way up to queue.

Yep, got onto him there and he noticed a difference in paint all along the passenger side, so that confirms that. Cheers for the pointer!

It was a bit dark and shady. On top of that there was a poxy mx5 between us. Massive traffic too! For some unknown reason. :D

I bet it won't be the last time we meet up hehe. Will have to do a dingle and beach run next. :)

Speaking of meet ups, will there be a boards meet before it gets all dark and wintery?

They could really do with that here in Limerick.
