^ That must have changed very recently. This is the confirmation text I got from them a few days ago, and have been for the past number of months.

Interesting. Have you used over 7.5GB in a month?

I have the same meteor offer. Never went over the 7.5gb. WiFi helps though. Had a similar bill pay plan with emobile (fcukin disaster of a company) before that. Went over the limit the same time every month without fail with the same usage.

Ya I'm on that meteor offer too never went past 5 gig I think and that was a month I downloaded a good bit. As for the car changed the air filter was rather manky!

Went down to get a puncture fixed today, no joy, cracked wheel
It's getting welded, hope it works, those wheels are expensive!

No it didn't change. There was a bit of media outrage when they released this plan a few years ago because the paper ads at bus stops also had the 7 gb limit shown in the T&Cs.

Bought my Focus without service history but there was a Ford main dealer sticker on the windshield with next service milage.

Just noticed that there's another 5 Ford dealer stickers underneath the current one.

That can't be a bad sign!

Don't think so, have wifi at home so that eases the demand.

On another note, got the focus back, absolutely delighted with it, paintwork is enhanced so much! Inside is spotless too. Will pop a few pics up later.

Worth ringing them for a few print outs then.

Pity you are so far away I have an almost new k+n panel filter I could have given you

Why Ireland surely rust was a big issue with all the rain we get. Maybe it was garage for a lot of it's life. Did US not get the capri? Surely with all the muscle cars over there it was a weird choice.

    RHD though?

Rain doesn't equal rust. English cars have way more rust than the equivalent Irish car

Nothing nicer than dropping of a filthy car and then coming back to collect it spotless. I might get my one done over Christmas or I'll do it myself give it a good polish and proper clean.

I was in Dublin last night collecting my dad from the airport the traffic in that place is a joke in general corks not much better I don't know how people sit in it everyday. I wouldn't mind commuting to work but sitting in traffic for long periods of time would wreck your head. I'm trying to avoid cork and Dublin for jobs but I'm kind of wiping out 95% of the jobs so there is a good chance I'll end up taking a job in cork if my current favourite doesn't work out and they don't offer me anything.

Ya, mine was fairly clean inside, the only thing that needed major attention was all the swirl marks on the paint. If I had a proper wet vac and some sort of machine polisher I wouldn't need to bring it to anyone to get done.

It's a pain in the ar*e alright, especially when you have to pay tolls for the M50 and then end up in standstill traffic

Got back from my holidays last night. Just back from a quick spin in the motor after having to get by with a Opel Meriva for the last 2 weeks, to say I had a smile on my face would be an understatement! But fook me I would love if the Irish drove the same as the French. Had two people hit the brakes for no reason on on-ramps onto 120km/h sections today. Comparing that to my experience driving in Provence where I was overtaken by grannies doing 120km/h plus on back roads.

Speed kills, tap the brakes every 10 seconds!

Currently on day 2 of replacing the splash guards on the cmax. I knew it would be an absolute bastard of a job and it has. Removing the right hand side wheel bearing took 6 hours because on s bolt had a head fcuk. 4 hours of bashing, drilling, pulling, bashing again, more drilling, pulling, breaking 2 drillbits and a crow bar. In the end was able to fit a hacksaw blade and took half an hour to cut the bolt.
Other side took half an hour this morning.
Exhausted and filthy and still not finished.
AND a wheel bearing is on the way out, so I'll get to do it all again soon !

I'm fairly sure the focus was involved in some sort of an accident previously. Musn't be that awful much (through insurance) as the motorcheck report didn't throw up anything. What leads me to this conclusion is a number of things. First off, the drivers alloy was a different alloy to the other 3 (damaged in accident?). The arch lining of the same wheel was broken (about half remained). Thirdly, when I went to fix a bit of chipped off the front bumper, it appeared it was previously touched, with mesh being used. (More than likely as a medium to hold fillers)

The paintwork looks perfect during the day, but at night, lights hold no mercy to dodgy paint. The drivers door, back door, wing and bonnet are the proper blue, along with the B pillars and roof. However the rest of the car, i.e both bumpers, passenger side doors, passenger wing, and boot door are tinged purple.

I took this pic which shows the back drivers door, with the bottom corner of it having said purple tinge, when the rest of the door is blue.

I noticed this a long time ago, but only asking now.

Like I said, the paintwork looks all perfect, same colour etc in daylight and even in direct sun. Strange one

    Got the RX tuned...

Not like ++bhp tuned, but proper tuned. Ignition dwell timings changed, oil injection remapped, that sort of thing. Running a lot happier. Starting better. Rolling at idle better. Using less fuel. Not more powerful, but feeling a lot better for it.

Also got a good health report. Running remarkably well, all told.

Gave a good Fourth-Gear pull along the M9 to make sure.

Just arrived at the southern most point of Continental USA in Key West. Amazing place but the heat is something fierce. It's 7pm at night here and still touching 90 degrees.

In other news a philosopher once said that rental cars are indeed the fastest cars in the world, after my first week in the USA I can confirm that to be true...

    :D

I wouldn't worry about it too much tbh it's shocking how many secondhand cars have been repaired at some stage in their life I'm not saying have been in serious crashes. I mean between everything I've owned I recon the Astra was the only 100% straight never seen paint car I had. All the rest have been sprayed in places at some stage I don't think any were crashed as such but panels damaged and painted yes. Tbh if you were looking for a completely original second hand car your search would be difficult enough. Although I am saying minor damage obviously if a yoke was in a major crash that's a big deal but once they are original underneath and the paint matches well I wouldn't be too bothered.

I'm not sure what age your focus is but over 10 years old iirc it's almost inevitable that someone was going to damage it at some stage sh!t happens. Sure you only have to park beside one fcuker that will whack the sh!t out of your door or pull the corner out of your bumper. Sometimes it feels like you'd want to wrap your car in bubble wrap to keep the body work protected.
