Someone who doesn't know how to accept a gift graciously - e.g. you carefully consider what to buy a person as a gift for birthday, christmas etc and when you give it to them, they say that's great thanks, open it and look at it, then throw it up on the windowsill and the next time you visit it's still there in its wrapping .......and it's still there the next time, and the next time, in fact you could take it away with you and it wouldn't even be missed...

In reply to Nokotan, not everyone that does bungee jumps etc, takes it out of the charity money raised, my daughter and her cousin, did one in Feb and paid for jump themselves as it was something they wanted to do and while doing so raised just under €500 for Console, I think it's not great either hitting the charity funds raised, if you want to do something that costs fund yourself 100%

This is a step in the right direction but if you want people to sponsor you do something for the community (cleaning rubbish from forest area that has been illegally dumped). Dont do something pointless just so you post a picture on facebook. Do something useful and people will be happier to donate

in another thread i mentioned katie hopkin's unapologetic attitude regarding her various comments and how i kinda respect her balls.

you would never see anything like this from her. she'd just go 'yeah i said it, so what? no grovelling apology.

Sponsored bungee jump...don't get it. Get people to pay for you to do something you want to do and the rest goes to charity?

Oh my God everyone makes me out to be such a dick for saying stuff like this.

"Hey, I'm doing a skydive/obstacle course/hike etc... for charity, will you sponsor me.

"fuck off, that sounds amazing, why dont you pay me to do it and I'll give the surplus to charity. Or at least do something not thoroughly enjoyable. here's a fiver for charity if you eat dog shit."

I did a charity bungee jump before and I have no issue admitting I dont even remember which charity it was, I just wanted to do a bungee jump and as a broke student couldnt afford it on my own. Actually felt like a bit of a dick because i just about raised the bare minimum and then i got put into a draw and won inter railing tickets and 1000 yopes spending money. I cost that charity money.

Drivers that take an age to take off when the light goes green at a set of traffic lights. Usually on their phone, smoking a fag or staring out the window. Show zero consideration to the drivers at the back of the que who usually end up getting caught on red.

or............. you take your time to pick out a good bottle of wine for a party. Give it to the host at the door and minutes later its dumped into the punch bowl !

When my son was learning to talk, he'd say 'hello' to anyone he'd pass by and keep saying 'hello hello hello' till someone replied. I always thought people were **** when they didn't say 'hello' back. Would it kill them?

I will never understand this kind of person. When they can clearly see the child talking to them. They have no souls i think.

I think i know why they don't say anything back to the child. With all the stories about child abuse we keep hearing about daily, a person is nearly afraid to nearly even look at a kid let alone say anything to them.
