Ethan O'Donoghue got two goals for Clane. County hurler Bernard Deay with the third.

Makes you wonder what could have been for Clane had they had their county minors available for the last round.

In hindsight, it was an terrible call, for both club and the players. We love wrapping county players in cotton wool in Kildare.

Yeah they should have been allowed play. Jimmy Hyland is supposed to have had a great game for Ballyteague yesterday. Those Kilkenny players who won another All Ireland today play frequently with their clubs. It doesn't seem to do them any harm.

as a larries man I'd agree with no fear for most them teams bar us, seems that can never beat the m come championship, but hopefully this year,
Sarsfields were very impressive today but Moorefield really imploded and their kickout strategy made no sense with so many big men around the middle. Athy could go either way now that they've cast Kellaghan aside. They have the talent to win it, whether they have the heads is another matter. JTB, Naas, Larries, Carbury and Confey will all feel they have some chance now that Moorefield are gone. Sarsfields just don't hold the same fear factor for these teams. If Celbridge could have Paddy Brophy available for the latter stages I think that could be a game changer.

Round Towers - the proverbial underachievers and bottlers.

That blows the IFC wide open.

The last time JTB were in a senior semi final was 1996.

Very little between the two teams on the night with two moments of magic from Dan Flynn and Paul Cribben seperating the side ( a goal straight from the throw in and a 55 yard point) Confey spurned 3 goal chances in the second half and missed a penalty but overall JTB were the more clinical of the 2 and probably deserved to edge out Confey

Interesting game this evening. St Laurences have never beaten Sarsfields in the championship. Both teams will be on a high after winning derby matches last time out but you'd have to give the nod to the Sash

    Sarsfields 1-4 Larries 0-2

Ben McCormack with the goal. The new Kildare manager should be taking a look at him in the new year.

2-14 to 4 points with a few minutes to go. I expected a much stronger show from Larries but Sash very impressive for the second weekend in a row it must be said.

2-16 to 5 points. sarsfields full time.

Sash and JTB into the semi finals.

Two of Celbridge/Carbury and Athy/Naas will join them next weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,492 ✭✭✭roy rodgers

I have to say sarsfields are looking very good and well organised like last weekend they controlled the whole game and had every part of the pitch covered. McCormack kavanagh a good game and chalky was very good in the first half winning some nice balls.
I'd say after tonight sarsfields will go favourites to win it now.

Larries never showed up. Hard to put a finger on why. Sarsfields have a lot of pacy forwards that look to goals at every opportunity which is good to see
