I read somewhere recently that they may have a link to the possibility of alzheimers being transmitted from person to person.
Anyone who's aware of 'Big' Phil and his affect on a sizeable element of the celtic support would already understand this idea of brain destroying disease and erratic behaviour as being infectious.

This latest story re the Allan transfer has surfaced because King has felt it necessary to elaborate on what happened. Nothing to do with Phil or anyone who supports Celtic. Naturally Hibs are saying King is talking shte. When King starts spinning are ye really going to buy it given his reputation in such matters. A glib and shameless liar as the judge described him.

Do you know I reckon 99.9 know exactly what a judge called him. Got to love how Celtic fans selectively decide what judge one to keep on quoting ;)

Was there oil found under Ibrox?? (Apart from the snake oil from the owners) Apparently King has come to the conclusion that there is enough money to see out the season without any more investment!! Don't you need 12 months operating funds in the bank before you got to the markets??

No idea where you got that from (although I can think of some sources ;) ), he said that if necessary there will be further investment in the playing squad.

Regarding finances of the club he mentioned during his press conference that the club is better off than expected and ahead of planning.

Which means, and those are his words, that there may be less necessary investment than previously predicted.

Ah yes. Nothing to see here. sweep, sweep. That OK.

I was responding to eirebear who started rambling about alzheimers, "Big" Phil and Celtic supporters. It was King that brought up the Allan transfer. For what? The transfer happened a month ago.

You seem to be alluding to a verdict that is currently under appeal (in a case with several guilty counts) and seem to think this is equal to a judge labelling King a liar, in a ruling where he accepted guilt.

You also think it's irrelevant to mention his record as a liar when discussing whether or not his far fetched version of events are truthful, but this is simply because you will go to any lengths in your denial. Up until it comes back to bite you of course, when you will be the victims of misinformation. Again.

The fantastic performances on the pitch must really annoy some people on here.

Suck it up guys, I'm sure you've got plenty of riveting stuff to talk about in the Celtic thread

Unless you're of course interested in joining the Warburton Express, in which case you're more than welcome :pac:

Although Intifada will have to stay outside, sorry. :p

" Funds would no longer be required now because season ticket sales are beyond what we were budgeting on." Dave Kings answer to the very first question he was asked. What is the clubs cash position? He did say more money might be needed if Warburton wanted to buy players, but other than that he's claiming you are funded for the year, a laughable claim.

You watched a game last season ?

    How nice.

Well, apart from the fact that that was not the first question he was asked, how can you know if it's a laughable claim ?

Somewhere between 35.000 and 40.000 season tickets, several full houses with no sign of that changing any time soon, people with plenty of money behind the club,...

I know you lot often claim to be in the know about the ins and outs of Rangers' finances, but you're making claims you can't back up.

Any thoughts on why King is talking about resurrecting oldco? Wasn't the line - which seemed to be bought by rangers fans - that it was just a company and the football club is not a new rangers? If they resurrect the oldco, wouldn't they have to pay oldco creditors the debts that were welched on? That would cost a lot of money wouldn't it. Or is King just lying?

He makes it clear one of the main reasons is to pay off the creditors the full amount if possible. And your last bit makes it the reason none of can be bothered in here because this is your stock saying well that and what s judge said

    Do you really believe King is going to go out of his way to resurrect oldco and pay off creditors that he doesn't legally have to? Companies get liquidated all the time and creditors take a hit. Why would you give them money unless you had to, given that the club went to the wall and the horse has bolted, but everyone says it's the same club anyway? There's something else going on here. I read this on another site;

"The issue here is a term called Gratuitous Alienation

If its proved that the assets in "NEWCO" have be fraudulently acquired then the creditors currently sitting in "OLDCO" have claim to them and BDO can then liquidate the assets and recover more money for "OLDCO" creditors

So all the money King & the three bears have invested in "NEWCO" is gone and they are left with nothing !!!

It looks like to me is King is trying to position himself so that when this does happen, after legal proceedings against Green whyte & Co have concluded, which could be sometime, and the assets are back in "OLDCO" which BDO currently control, he will attempt to acquire "OLDCO" somehow and reach an agreement with all the creditors that they get a financial settlement.... the big BUT in all this is that he will need cash and LOTS of it to do this.......

"oldco" hasn't been fully liquidated (dissolved) yet"

So if that's correct the creditors may come after them anyway. If they do they might as well ressurect oldco and pay them with a bit of spin that it's old rangers in the oldco back in action. If the creditors don't come after them, oldco wont be resurrected.

It's the first question that Keith Jackson has up in the DR Q&A.

You had to get £8.5m in loans to see out last season. You make pennies from your retail operation. You still have the second highest wage bill in Scotland, you've a stadium that needs maintenance, you've a huge training complex that costs huge money to run. And you think £10m for season tickets is gonna pay for all of that?? Words fail me.

If you think season ticket money is the only income of a club you need to learn a lot about football.

But it's fine, you obviously believe we won't see out the season, despite not having any clear proof.

Just like Eirebear's updates on Waghorn's goals I'm sure we can come back to this come the end of the season to see who was right.

A lower league player and manager doing the best they can. Hardly a need for pointing out the obvious.

I actually leafed through that once in a bookshop. It's utterly brilliant entertainment.
