Is it broadcast live anywhere? I've got RTE 1 on, but they're covering something else at the moment.

    IRFU website.

Maybe try Sky Sports News too?

    No Trimble. No Madigan either?

Didn't Fitz say he'd been dropping weight because he thought Joe saw him more as a wing option? Seems odd they'd throw him in at centre now?

Joe has already mentioned he's looking for versatility from all his back three players.

I think Rob Kearney is the only senior player who he hasn't tried out in the midfield at this stage.

I'll cite his two big errors v Scotland last week. He also had a couple against Scotland in the 6Ns. Players coming back from similar injury stints (Earls & D Kearney for example), didn't make similar errors.

You mean his first game for Ireland in nearly 4 years after an almost career ending injury? I knew you picked the 'overrun passes' things directly from that Scotland game so I was waiting for you to say it!

Can you detail or provide video evidence of "his two big errors" last week please?

    I'm fairly certain it's a fake account.

I can't understand so many people having Fitz as a certainty in the final squad. He's had so many injuries the past few years and I can't say he's done anything of note lately to make me think he deserves it over some of the other players. I can see him travelling, certainly, but I don't think he's one of the already on the list players as some people seem to think he is.

You can't say he had our best wing performance of the 6N championship and that he wasn't the best back for Leinster in the 2014/15 season?

Scottish warmup game aside, Fitz has been in great form. One of the best backs in the country, easily.

So as predicted; except what is wrong with Rory Best?? Rob Herring was brought back to training during the week, what's going on?

Earls on the left and DK on the right! I'm humble enough to admit when I'm wrong, seems the whole left foot-wing thing may have been overblown. We may yet see Trimble and bowe start a game together!!

    Luke and Earls switched.

Trimble and Bowe both playing for Ulster tomorrow night. I'm leaning towards them being definite names on the squad list and just needing a bit of game time. The guys playing on Saturday are probably the ones fighting it out for the last places?

Felix Jones on the bench eh. I didn't think we would see him again in the warmups.

Honestly, I think it's fully decided already.

Let's just hope there's no injuries.

Yep, really expected Bowe or Trimble there. But then I figure Kearney may be subbed....

Didn't he only play one match in the 6 Nations? Against Scotland who had lost all their previous matches? I'm not sure you can judge anything off that.

The Almighty said he was back doing full contact training on Tuesday and today.

I think you can. He wasn't the only wing to play that day.

Scotland didn't roll over like some of the English would have you think. It was a proper test match. Luke was very good.

No Boss or Marmion does put legs on the 2 9s suggestion.

But it's either Boss or Midigan as 3rd choice, now. Marms didn't get enough gametime. I'm dejected.

Not so sure. Joe made a point of saying Mads has not trained at 9, so it won't be a case if him covering.

It doesn't really. I think people are reading far too much into team selections. I think we're drip feeding our first XV more game time, that's all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,634 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

I think it's possible to read into this that the three lads, Luke, Earls and Dk are in a straight fight on Saturday.

No, thought they'd wrap him in cotton wool until the WC started
    :)
