Bit unfair to card Alun Wyn Jones before the game has even started
It's a new experimental law for the World Cup. Teams get to nominate a player for a 'free' yellow card before the game and can then cash it in if the same player gets a yellow card during the match. Kind of a get out of jail free card.

England are nominating Dylan Hartley for it in every game he starts or subs. :D

Also, D'Arcy is in Leinster's starting 15 for their match tomorrow night. Nail on coffin?

As is Michael Bent, so chances for some of Kilcoyne, Moore and White against Wales?

But he gets straight reds so its no use to them

He's playing to stay fit for a call up, nail in coffin would be retirement announcement.

In the event that we need to call up a 12 (assuming we can't just re-shuffle for whatever reason) does he get the call or does Darren Cave?

Is the team announcement going out live? If so anybody got a linky link?

Last weeks game against Scotland was by no means a vintage performance by fitzy (or any of the Irish lads, but he still had a similar if not better game than Simon "man of the Match" Zebo. I reckon he only really made 2 clear cut errors.
The most blatant one was the knock on from first receiver. Unforgivable.

The second was when he missed touch. Again unforgivable.

Early in the game there was the miscommunication when fitz stepped inside and Zebo passes into touch. Zebo was eating up space running laterally and fitz made the right decision. Hen there was another awful pass which you'd expect fitz to take some of the time time but can't blame him for it.

He also defended well and was effective in clean outs.
Oh and his try was well finished and initiated

The issue with Fitz is he lacks composure/confidence and panics when under pressure (so you get a knock-on, overruns the pass, or fail to get touch). Earls is another one of these who can make similar errors, but he is playing very confidently for the last year or so since his injuries have been sorted.

Bullsh1t. He had his issues a few years ago but we havent seen much of that the past 12 months

So is Fitz. BTW I hope they're not in competition with each other, I want both to travel.

    Warburton injured?

Slight shoulder injury according to Gatland.

Give me examples of these that don't include times when Fitz was finding his feet again after lengthy injuries.

He was just back after surgery tbf

True, but to my mind if you take to the field you declare yourself fit.

He was only back in contact training a few days before the game. If you expect any player to be fully up to speed in that case the issue certainly isn't with the player.

That's some Wales team. Bish, bash, bosh. Think I'll get the Mother to do a novena yoke for injuries!

Have there been many examples of when he hasn't been coming back from a lengthy injury!

I wouldn't personally see him as a certainty, but the fact he is playing 13 (or at least is allegedly playing 13) this weekend is probably good news for him. He wouldn't be playing there if he wasn't going to the WC IMO.

Except for missing Warburton (apparently minding a shoulder injury) and Charteris on the bench, that's very close to their full team and bench.
Liam Williams in a race to be fit could also make the squad.

Can anyone tell if the front row and front row bench are their first choice, I know there's a lot of talk about Samson Lee in a race to be fit (almost an exact parallel with Cian Healy) but apart from that are these players the likely World Cup players?

By the way, great to see George North back fit, would have been a pity to miss him in the RWC.
Can't wait to see him get back to his best and take on the English and the Aussies.
Remember that tackle on Folau for the B&I Lions :)

Close to a full-strenght Welsh team TBH

I'd worry about North. Even the slightest knock to the head and he could be in serious trouble. Four concussions in as many months is not a good thing. Wales don't even have the luxury of wrapping him in cotton wool given their pool.

Don't make claims if you're not willing to back them up.

Is it broadcast live anywhere? I've got RTE 1 on, but they're covering something else at the moment.

I'll cite his two big errors v Scotland last week. He also had a couple against Scotland in the 6Ns. Players coming back from similar injury stints (Earls & D Kearney for example), didn't make similar errors.

They do it through the IrishRugby website

    http://www.irishrugby.ie/live_streaming.php

It should be going live soon too, it's meant to start at 1.50
