Well it would be a very quiet discussion forum then buddy :D

Opinions are like assholes everyone has one be it good bad or indifferent.

No one denies that but the unwritten rule is you don't share it in this particular thread. Its more of an appreciation, not criticism thread.

How is it the general consensus that the Audi is terrible? You're quick to put someone else's car down but the moment you hear something negative about your own you go mad.

well terrible in having fog lights on at least. A diesel Audi doesn't exactly get my pulse racing but each to their own.

Me neither but to anyone into their reliability the 1.9 in them is the holy grail.

Think the Audi looks well for what it is, not my cup of tea but there are plenty of awful looking a4s around that have been modified poorly and look a lot worse than that one. Presume Daaryl is a young enough lad who likes that style so fair play to him for getting it the way he wants, Would imagine it turns plenty of heads among lads around that age, I know a friend of mines younger brother would love it anyway.

Just cos it wouldn't be something I'd drive doesn't mean I can't appreciate it.

I agree, its not too bad. I have seen worse.

If It did not have fog lights on all the time I might respect it more, from what I have seen thus far it looks like the driver has them on at all hours of the day and night however.

I seriously don't think the general consensus is that Audi's are terrible, in fact I'd say the opposite. For example I'd drive any Audi over the corresponding Lexus ;)

On the particular car posted, I'd lose the dapper sticker and the wind deflectors, and then I think it'd look a very nice, clean car. The colour is obviously not to everyone's taste, but that's a decision than can be made about any car colour.

If you prefer to drive a diesel Audi over a Petrol V6, well fair play to you.

You probably would be in the minority of most motoring enthusiasts.

But I guess cheap tax and all that.

All depends on the budget of the driver. Young drivers will almost always go for cars with cheap running costs because car insurance is already high enough.

That engine gives it's fair share of problems. It's far from the holy grail tbh.

We don't know if he is driving around constantly with fog lights on. Maybe he prefers to have them on whilst taking photos.
Diesel audis can be very very good especially the v6 version.
    But that's a different topic.

Well you are accustomed to the 200 BHP of the greatest junior executive saloon ever made.

modnote - youve had enough pops at this poster for now. Take a week off to consider the effect this is having on the forum -colm_mcm

If it didn't explode at 100k then I have some faith it won't explode at 150, although it is now utterly worthless.

Still fairly respectable mileage for a 11 year old daysul

Nice looking yoke but I'm not a fan of the flat bottom steering wheel. Seems impractical.

Cheers Colm, yeah I'm thrilled with it myself. It's an absolute beast on the road and I've never driven a car that catches other people's attention so much. The colour really pops and stands out.

Not many options ticked actually. They're very well spec'd as standard. I spec'd:
Wheels - only 130 quid over the standard wheels
    Leather - expensive!
    Keyless entry/start.

Everything else is standard including Nav, camera, parking sensors, adaptive cruise, etc etc.

Oh and I went DSG this time and loving it so far. I'm converted.

Nice one Joe, how do you find it ?

Whats the new Haldex system like/do they have a lsd ?

A simple map can do alot to those an extremely tunable car with solid internals.

    Well wear.

Love it! Honestly didn't expect to notice such a difference over the GTI but it's really night and day. Huge sense of occasion when you give it some beans, real wow factor! The sheer pace and noise as it goes is phenomenal. Grip is incredible. GTI was a bugger for wheel spin and tramping. This thing sticks to the road. On a wet roundabout tonight at a good pace, no bother to it whereas the GTI never quite gave me that confidence.

The Haledex is very clever. It's not fully active AWD. I believe power only goes to the rear when you push on or you're losing front grip.

4 pipes too but 2 are inactive in "normal driving". Flaps open up when giving it some beans :D

It has cooling ducts for the brakes instead

No R / R32 has ever had fogs. No room due to radiator cooing ducts. Who needs front fogs...

I notice alot of high spec Audi A6's don't either.
I assumed the fancy headlights nowadays could adapt for when they would be needed?

The xenons are fantastic alright plus the R has the double "U" led DRL's.

Thanks man. Yeah absolutely, it's already on carzone too. Anyone on here in the market for a used MK7 GTI? You won't find a better one in terms of spec/condition/miles, absolutely guaranteed.
