My daughter's OpO screen is cracked, I'm sure this has been asked on here before but what is the cheapest/best way to get it repaired?

Mine cost 146 by going through OnePlus. I got sent a new phone :). There are companies in Dublin that charge 150

As said above you can send it back to Oneplus and get a new phone for €150.

    Electronicpartner.ie will collect/repair/return for €110 all in

have you got push settings switched on?

Well in settings, apps, I selected both apps and the show notifications box is ticked.

I uninstalled mymail app and reinstalled it, checked all settings both in the app and the phone settings, the problem remains the same.

When I open the inbox app the new emails appear immediately, when I open the mymail app I need to wait for few seconds, sometimes few minutes before receiving the new email, and its only then that the notification works, its bit frustrating I have to admit.

Thanks lads, never heard on electronicpartner, must check them out.
Is there info on the OpO site about repairs, can't seem to find it?

You have to log a ticket with support. I am currently in the process of trying to get my screen fixed. The service ticket only because an RMA yesterday. Waiting for them to pick the phone up from me at this stage now. They are painfully slow.

Was all set to buy a OnePlus One 16GB yesterday, left my card at home - went to order today, only the 64GB is an option. Pay for Drive storage so no need for an extra space, esp 64GB worth - anyone know if they are due to be back in stock soon so I can save myself the €50.

Check on their FB page, they usually say once it is back in stock.

I thought they weren't selling the 16 anymore? I've no source for that though.

They came back in stock last week, I picked up a 16 myself and so did a few others on here.

Order the 64GB today, can't wait now. I have taken about 5000 pictures with my Moto G since my little girl came along and the camera has frustrated me for long enough, time for Google Photos to get better versions. Went with a Dbrand cover as well, this gave great protection on my Nexus 4 and Moto ;)

Lads what other Rom's are popular for the OnePlus One? I'm having some issues and fancy a change - what are the other roms that are recommended?

Thanks, sorry for being a noob but would you mind posting a link or two? That means nothing to me...

If your having issues with other roms I suggest this stock CM11 rom, it comes pre rooted and has great battery life with zero issues.

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-stock-rooted-xnph05q-t3027033

Flash the rom and then the extras zip.

When the rom is up and running go to settings > privacy guard > show built in apps > long press google play services > deny wake up, keep awake and auto start.

I think you get unlimited pic storage with Google don't you? Handy for your memories of the little one anyway :)

I bought a second hand OPO for my girlfriend a while back, and recently it was dropped and the screen cracked. It's causing major touchscreen issues so it'll need to be fixed. Would my best bet be to go the official route for repairs, or can someone recommend a reputable Dublin-based repair company that they've had success with?

I used electronicpartner.ie when I smashed my first OPO. They are in Galway but collected/returned the phone by next day courier. €110 all in. Took a while, their reason was they had an order of replacement screens delayed 10 days by customs. Not sure if they are any quicker now.

Coincidentally, I just smashed my second OPO this morning ffs. I'm insured this time round so will see how that goes.

Id highly recommend buying a case for the phone.

I have the clear one from OnePlus. And on multiple times as a result of it touching the tips of the case it has saved the phone.

I'm more if a fan of bezels over protruding screen and this is one of the reasons why!

Case and covers ..50% off on their website

Does anywhere in Dublin stock accessories such as cases?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 209 ✭✭frostypants

Does anyone else have an issues with Adaway? I have my phone rooted and never had an issue with Adaway on other phones. When I update the hosts files it works for awhile and then stops blocking ads.

    Any ideas?

Looking to get myself a new tempered glass screen protector because a small crack has turned up on mine. What's the best one to go for. I currently have the OnePlus own brand atm which was perfect until now.

I am personally a fan of Rhino Shield. Backed them on their kickstarter and have been buying them for myself and my girlfriend.

Just smashed my second screen in 2 months! So much for the Orzly tempered glass screen protector being the best about. Had the phone a year and didn't drop it once. Dropped twice, two smashed screens. Sake.
