Watching PMI (Palma de Mallorca) airport this morning. 2 go arounds about 15 minutes ago, since then only 1 approach has been made (which was successful) and no take-offs.

Weather is probably the factor causing this, there's a direct crosswind at 16kts (gusting 28kts) and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms the wind tends to pick up and the cloud causes very bad turbulence. (Happened me personally on the 1st of August).

Sorry if this is a silly question but what's with the lasers ? Understand the nuisance and risk to planes targeted , but is there malicious intent or just some dickheads messing about ? Either way, probably near impossible to track source ?

Dickheads messing about but if they had brains it might be malicious intent I suppose.

Just for info - 5 x USAF C130's have gone over south Dublin so far today and 2 more on the way.

All filtered out of FR24 but MLATtracks start plotting on Plane Plotter as they just get to the West of Dublin.

A Saudi C130 also went over Dublin earlier today - with a full ADS plot.

    Just for info!!

Did they depart from SNN by any chance? I heard some unearthly racket a few times in Limerick. Clouded over so couldn't see

All came direct from St Johns.....but the 4th and 5th went over together...so that would have been window shaking right underneath.
