Used to love playing pool while skiving off school. Monday and Tuesday afternoons, plus all day Friday after lunch.
No tricky shots for me tonight, have a dress on :D Now where's the freaking chalk so I can look all knowing and like I know what I'm at while chalking the cue.

    Does the chalk do anything?

Hit and hope! Was always caught with the black ball and the rules around it, pick a pocket and stay on it, no back table shots etc etc.

Everyone has their own rules, normally pop up at convenient times to who ever's on 'home ground'. Night, don't embarrass too many folk

Dry cattle broke out yesterday through 3 gates I had closed and tied after spreading fert 2 weeks ago.
Today I left the cows into aftergrass after bales and the water trough was working fine 6 weeks ago. No water in the trough as the fast flow valve was turned at a right angle.

I'm starting to think some tool is messing around at night.

Same thing happened me yesterday evening with two gates I had tied together opened and heifers gone into a meadow I was thinking of keeping for hay .
The week before the other gate was opened and they were out on a (quiet ) road .
Wondering is someone up to devilment

The drop in milk wasn't as bad as i thought. The older cows walked back a bit up the road and drank from another trough. The first calvers hadn't the cop-on to follow though:(

Hate catching calves in the field to tag them, usually starts with a BAAAAAAAA from the calf and next thing you're surrounded by cows and the calf is doing the riverdance on your toes. Elf n' safety how are ya.

if we dont do them on the first day we run them in to yard let cows back out. Tag calf and let it back out. Alot safer all round

Wouldn't come in for us today so said fcuk it and nabbed the little fella when he was asleep. Something not right with him, had the tag in him withing about 15 seconds of catching him and he lay down as if he had a weak heart or something. Left him with just the one in.

we always do the bvd tag first that way if the calf does bawl at least you have that one in. Its always a **** a brick moment tagging them

Yea that's the one he has in. Will see how he goes, if he still looks a bit iffy I'll leave off dehorning him. Better to have a live calf with horns than a dead one with a clean head.

I caught a calf like that for the vet to check a few weeks ago and she said abort the mission and run them up to the shed after all the cows gathered in for a look . It was annoying but she was right in fairness

What a game, I was on the edge of my seat for most of it.
Fair play to Galway but I think a draw on the day would have been a fairer result.

C'mon Galway. The game of hurling really needed that.

    +1
A game full of passion and a credit to both teams, neither let up till the final whistle.
I am not a hurling buff, I come from a non hurling county which it is slowly but surely making its presence felt ;)
I cannot understand why hurling is not more recognised on the world stage especially after a game like the senior semi final today.
