    Did you hit the ball?

Is it normal not to hit the ball at all during a first lesson, or to skid it along the ground?

Couldn't tell you, closest I ever got was pitch and putt and I couldn't lift a ball more than 6 feet off the ground

Well about 20% of the time, this happened to me.

The rest of the time, I was 70/30 where I shunted the ball a fair few feet, then I'd a few nice shots that went high and long enough that I was standing there watching it and wondering where it would land.

Twas quite enjoyable. I've ****e posture apparently though:D I bend through my shoulders, and they are now sore.

That said, I'm extremely doublejointed, and at one point I bent over backwards to relax my shoulder and my teacher nearly went into shock heehee

It's normal to do this all the time in golf, never mind a first lesson. :D

Don't be thinking the game is always like the pros you see on TV.

Well, I enjoyed it enough that I'm gonna have a few practice sessions at the local driving range during the week (the pro is away next week refereeing something) and have another lesson)

If I make progress on the stuff she said I need to work on, then I think I'll book a block of lessons, it's the usual deal that you get a fairly decent discount if you book a block of lessons.

I really liked her, which is important to me, so I'll see what the next two weeks lead to :)

Jesus no, I'm fairly sure Venjur has a significant other half.

We don't want to be seeing him in personal issues next week, due to his drunken night out ruining his current relationship :pac:

Sure isn't everyone a John Hayes fan. I can just imagine him now, coming in off the farm, washing his hands and getting little ROG off to bed. "Bull, Bull, tell me again about that drop goal I put over against Northampton"... "Well, ROG, it was the 83rd minute and we were one point down...."
