It's not like it's the other side of the USA you are being asked to go, any location in Ireland is commutable to another in 4 hours or less.

€300 a month to rent a house - nice. I rented a place in Dublin, 50 minute Dart ride to the city centre for £800 (punts) a month 15 years ago.

And why do Threshold say she is entitled to 112 days I wonder. If the landlord wants to sell, he should be able to sell. 112 fcukin days. Jesus wept.

But it's "dowin de country". To some Dubaliners, that's like moving to Timbucktoo.

This guy calling in needs a bit of cop on, there's houses all over the country to live in, no excuse for anyone in the country to be homeless, anyone who is wants to be.

I had to laugh the last few days when the Dubaliners talk about having to "get 2 buses to get to school". There are numerous kids up and down the country commuting 30 miles a day to get to secondary school FFS.

What about people struggling to pay a mortgage and commuting in to Dublin to work from counties bordering Dublin, should they get a house too so it's handier?

    Can't be bothered.

Is this going to be an hour of bleeding hearts?

If so, even allowing for Butters' righteous indignation, I might have to switch off again.

    "Great Stories". I'll bet!

The mudders have to get 2 buses from town out to Finglas with the chislers then back home, then back in the evening to collect them and back home. up to 50 buses a week, maybe they could look for a job cleaning the buses while they are spending half the day on them?

It's bizarre. As a child/teen I lived in Both Galway City and Dubalin County (South County to be precise). My fellow teens in Dubalin County used to ask the most ridiculous questions about life in Galway like it was some backward place 200 years behind Dubalin in terms of civilisation and basic things like housing, foodstuffs, services, television etc. Bonkers stuff.

Most people working in Dublin can't afford to live in their hometown, only dolites seem to get this option as they get free houses where they live.
