I've lived in numerous rented properties - if we heard a rustle of a mouse in the winter, we bought a trap and set it.

Next you are going to tell me that if the bulb in the bathroom goes, the tenant should ring the landlord to buy a bulb, remove the cover and put in a new bulb.

Some people just want somebody else to do everything for them and wont get off their holes and do things for themselves.

My mate was renting his apartment out to another lad that worked with us. When he went to check on it, yer man only had one bulb still working and he was walking from room to room with the remaining bulb in a bedside lamp like Florence Nightingale, instead of replacing them

Ok.

I'll give you this scenario. Landlord lives 50 miles from the property. He has to drive 50 miles, set a mouse trap under the sink and drive home again. He get a call an hour after getting home to say a mouse is caught in the trap. He drives 50 miles back again to dispose of the mouse and re-set the trap. And then 50 miles home again. 200 miles for a mouse!

The landlord is expected to do this? Seriously?:eek:
