Wussed out of having Costa and got in Rooney instead. Also used spare funds I had to upgrade O Shea to Ivan. Getting in Aguero GW4 makes so much more sense, so not worrying about the how's of that for the time being, and just putting my best foot forward. Rooney/Depay combo could pay dividends, if not in GW1, then certainly I'd be hopeful GW2&3 against Villa and Newcastle respectively

Going Utd and Arsenal heavy from the start could pay off handsomely if they hit the ground running. Or you could be left with several transfers to be made if they don't (a bit like Utd last season and me :( ).

Targett may be non-playing bench fodder from GW2 once Berty is back. Giroud could be a rotation risk too. And no Hazard! Risky again but given Chelsea don't have the easiest of starts it could be ok.

Yeah its hard to cover all bases... isn't it! Reasonably confident on the Giroud front, though time will tell on that one :D

Costa playing/not playing will have a massive effect on this week. If he plays, Hazard & Fab's prospects are immediately improved, if he doesn't, they may struggle! Obviously I'm hoping Costa doesn't play now!! :D

Target/Saylor are the most likely 4.0 to play this weekend - if they both do there's chances of some sneaky price rises... not thinking past that as my budget is all used!!

Lads, will Coates start for Sunderland? I checked their game v Hannover and it seemed to be a strong side that started. He also played a lot towards the tail end of last season.

I had Cedric in but he was on bench, and Coates rotates pretty well with a few of my starts. Also took in Barkley to change for Milner/Henderson after GW1

    Team atm

    Ruddy/McCarthy (Can't see these changing)

    Mings, Huth, Bellerin (Coates, S.Taylor)

    Barkley, Sterling, Hazard, Cazorla (Sinclair)

    Pelle, Rooney, Benteke

1m in the bank - so can upgrade Barkley to a 7.5 if needed (or sinclair to at least a 5.5)

I agree but I usually try and find the cheaper players that will increase in value without ruining my start.

Not sure if this attachment works. I wanted it to show in my message but not as a link.

    EDIT - and failed.

If you're going to going cheap at the back at least get players who rotate. You've also got 2 who won't be starting by gw3 or 4 max.

For the same money as Dier, Dawson and Saylor you could have Jenks, Gomez and Francis giving a great rotation with your norwich def. I'd then suggest spending the extra 0.5 to upgrade targett to someone who will play. Huth? You'd then have a solid 3 fixtures to pick from.

Costa AND Lukaku? That's ballsy :pac::pac::pac::pac: Could reap handsome dividends if it comes off...

Fitness worries aside, Team overall looks fairly well balanced I think. 0.5 in the bank to do Lukaku->Benteke might be useful for gw2... Also don't be surprised if you need to use a transfer soon to shift Walcott out. If you need/want to free up 0.5 I might suggest Cedric->4.5def - Cedric has competition from Cuco Martina for his place, and honestly I'm not convinced of S'hamptons defensive prospects with Alderweireld/Clyne/Schneiderlin all having left

    Edit: Cedric->4.5, Walcott->Arsenal8.5, Lukaku->Benteke, Azpi->Mert/Bellerin and Butland->Courtois and I think you'd be looking VERY strong longer term

manual man - don't think Cedric has much to worry about with respect to Martina. Basically only bought as Twente (i think) were in financial trouble and they have the EL this year so he adds a bit of cover.

As soon as Clyne was gone, Southampton announced the signing of Cedric.

Possibly but Martina started ahead of him in a more or less full strength side in the Europa yesterday... But in regards to the overall fpl squad picture I proposed to THFC I think it may be the wiser move

Playing around with this, 1.0m in the bank, i like to leave some cash over from the start for the regular mass overhaul in week 2/3. Unsure of Kane for week one but don't fancy many of the alternatives either, suggestions greatly appreciated...

Think i am satisfied lads any advice before i settle on this team.

    Cech

    Shaw
    Huth
    Van Anholt

    ---Maharez----Hazard---Depay----Walcott
    Mane

    Rooney
    Benteke

    Subs Hennessy, Gomez, Taylor, Ritchie

    Thoughts on this starting team

    Courtois
    Ward-Huth-Muniesa
    Hazard-Sterling-Depay-Carzola
    Rooney-Benteke-Sakho

    Bench
    Hennessy-Ibe-O'Shea-Targett

    0.5 in bank.

I generally never spend big at the back, just look at rotation options for probable starters.

    What ye think?

I have a very similarish team to yourself. Same GKs so can't fault you there. Your DF rotation looks quite well and Sakho could be a gamble that'll pay off, although I'd be concerned about West Hams preseason.

Aslong as you've a plan in place for Aguero, it looks like a good team. I'm still toying with the idea of Cazorla or Ozil. Whoever I choose will more than likely get 2 and the other a hat trick!

Looking at Sakho for weeks 2 and 3 really then switch to Berahino probably.

Aguero plan - Sterling to Henderson and Rooney to Aguero

My usual plan is to keep faith in promoted teams thanks to Austin last year. I can see Bournemouth having a good season and Wilson at the heart of that. If not Deeney looks a good choice and he should flourish thanks to his physicality.
After GW4 I can see Agueros ownership hit the 70, 80% mark. He's literally a must have.

I think 2 leicester in your starting 11 (though you're probably intending rotating Huth) players is overkill.

Have you got 6 midfielders in there too? Ritchie is also a midfielder and you are starting with 3-5-2?

Well lads, would love some feedback my pride and a lot of booze hangs on my fantasy football team

    Courtois

    Cedric Azp Bellerin Coleman

    Mahrez Hazard Depay Cazorla

    Rooney Bentekkers

    Bench:
    Mc Carthy
    Yoshida
    Deeney
    Morrison

Im a United fan so Im very excited at Depays potential but is it foolish to risk 8.5 on a new signing?

I'm not starting with Depay right away, going to wait and see how he gets on in the first 2 GW but I don't see why he can't have a great season.

IMO I would downgrade Coleman as Everton play last years top 6 in the first 10 GW allowing you to upgrade Mahrez or Deeney.

Ok am reasonably happy but just one problem, no hope of Sanchez or Aguero cos all funds tied up. Anyone suggest 2 changes to get me a couple of million please?

Still have 2m in the bank, which I've earmarked for Walcott > Sanchez

Swapped Coleman out for Van Aanholt and Sterling for Depay.
I think Im happy sticking with the team now......I think!

Huth is a cheap rotation early on with good Fixtures and Ranieiri a cautious manager.

Maharez should be on set pieces and he rotates well with Wilson who both have softish fixtures early on.

Mane is the one i am thinking of where i might change fixtures are actually tough enough.

No point risking Lukaku as he has a tough run anyway after this week, forget Baker, he won't play at all this year
If you downgrade Lukaku you can do all sorts of changing

Welcome back, haven't seen you post here yet.:)

I'm all done now, this is the Final Solution!

    Boruc/Adrian
    Bellrin, Cedric,Huth,Coates, Taylor
    Mane,Fabregas,Sterling, Walcott,Payet
    Rooney,Benteke,Wilson.

Keeper combo is thanks to 8/10. Solid

Will rotate a spot between Huth/Coates in defence, rest is solid.

Midfield is strong with Payet being the gamble, high hopes for him.

Forwards are what they are, two transfer to get Kun in.

Really.please with this lads, roll on 11.45 tomorrow.
