    On the advise here

    Coleman for Shaw
    Carzola for sterling
    Still 1M in bank
Stuck with Walters but should be good for a few goals

What's considered a good score in the FFS rate my team tool? Saw it mentioned here at some stage.

Thanks spock ....but apart from having a decent season I also want to learn how to do the whole screenshot thing as it saves a lot of time typing out team (as I have up to now)

Very very strong team. Full of goalscoring midfielders which are the ones you want really. Is the intention to rotate Mahrez and Sakho, because I think that is what you should do. You're well covered with those 2 up until say Gameweek 7 when you'll need to change the plan a little.

Not convinced you've got the right 4.5 sub defenders though. Fixtures don't really pick up for Stoke until GW6 and I don't see Watford being great. Not a big fan of Quique Sanchez Flores as a manager and amn't sure he knows what he wants them to be yet. Sunderland defender instead maybe? Based on the Europa League team tonight Yoshida looks like he should start at that price too.

Nope I did it from a PC but I assume if you take a photo/screenshot and copy it, you should be able to touch it and paste it in?

So I left it far too late to pick my team so I quickly threw this together. Any opinions much appreciated!

    Are you both Liverpool Fans?
I'd be uncomfortable with no Arsenal attackers and having 3 Liverpool players

Yeah I think I'll tinker with that defence, I'm not really liking having 2 x Norwich and 2x Stoke players, I just wish I had 0.5m more to upgrade on pudil, there doesn't seem to be anyone worthwhile at 4.0m albeit I don't mind if I can get 4 decent defenders to rotate as I will pretty much never play more than 3 of them in any week.

Edit: yeah the plan is to get Sakho in for the next 2 GW's.

    Final attempt for tonight!
    Schmeichel

    Ivanovic Clyne Bellerin Francis

    Hazard Walcott Depay Henderson

    Benteke Lukaku

    Hennessy Sakho Saylor Wanyama

Have 1.5m in the bank, any thoughts really appreciated

Yeah, the thing this year is that 4.0/5 million players haven't really come available in clubs you wouldn't expect them to. Gomez from Liverpool has been talked about but I'd be seeing before believing. Yoshida is the other but there are doubts there.

Where you're in a situation where you've no defenders/keepers over 4.5 (I'd probably recommend having one 5.0 though maybe Jenkinson or Van Aanholt) its really about finding the premium teams of the small few available, the best choices, and the best rotation options to put them with. For me at least early on those teams are probably Sunderland, Leicester and Norwich. Palace and Stoke will be later in the season but they've tough fixtures to kick off with.

Good call. Yes. Optimism is flowing into my fantasy football team. Expecting a massive change in team soon. :)

Liverpool don't really have great opening fixtures. Away to Stoke, Arsenal and Man U in the first 5. I'd have no more than 1 in my team until the fixtures improve. Having 3 in from the start is crazy IMO.

Definitely won't be paying attention so after getting in the 250s :pac:

You are probably right. Going to stop looking for the night before I go crazy. Dropped o'Shea for Jagelika. Might use him in instead of Clyne.

    Final draft

    Cech

    Azpi
    Koscielny
    Williams

    Hazard
    Ritchie
    Ozil
    Sterling

    Deeney
    Rooney
    Sakho

    Subs Schwarzer Wanyama Mings Morgan

with 2.5 in the bank when Kun returns i'll bring him in to replace Rooney also i'll start Mings over Williams as Swansea are away to Chelsea. Right i'm done drafting

Yikes! Are you sure you have it on 6 weeks and not 5? My 5 week scores is 260s so that would make sense.

    Here we go -

    XJSNq.jpg

Defensively, I never like to go ultra-cheap on defence, so I've gone for Chelsea and Arsenal cover through Courtois and Bellerin. I did consider the Mignolet/Ruddy trotation, but I'd prefer just to stick one GK in there and leave him at it.

The remaining 4 defenders rotate pretty well for the first 8 weeks or so, with Gomez being a bit of a risk. It'll be worth it if he pays off though and I think Rodgers is a manager who could give him a run.

In midfield Walcott was in every draft before this one, but I've settled on Ramsey of all the Arsenal midfielders. I feel Walcott is an early transfer waiting to happen and downgrading him to Ramsey let me get in Mané rather than a 7.5m or less midfielder.

West Ham's fixtures mean Sakho gets in there, and I expect Benteke to start on Sunday, Rodgers has no choice but to try to get some momentum going early to take Liverpool into that run of iffy away games. Rooney will make way for Sergio when he's back. Kane was heavily in my thoughts in the end, but I'm happy with who I've gone with.

    When Sergio's back I'll downgrade a midfielder.

I've avoided having too many transfers in waiting, like Walcott, I think Gomez is the only one of the squad I might be forced to jettison in the first couple of GWs, so I hope to be able to jump on form players without having to use my wildcard early on, getting to GW7/8 would be good.

The last few drafts really centred around who should be in the Ramsey/Mané/Benteke spots. The likes of Walcott, Ritchie, Lukaku, Kane, Cazorla, Milner were in the mix, but I'm happy with the trio I've settled on.

    Any comments?

308 for me. But being fairly committed to the GW4 wildcard. I'd nearly be inclined to take those 3 weeks and the scores for that instead which averaged up would give me 319.5 instead for the time I'm actually using that particular team.

    Ah I figured it out...315 for 6 weeks...not too bad I guess!

That sounds better I was wondering whether you maybe had di maria and salah in the team with a Forster/Foster combo in goal or something!

Has a big spiel typed out but lost it cause don't know how to work a mac.

Basically, picked cheapest starting defence and loaded up on attack. I don't do defending.

Only 2 strikers and 3 midfielders scored better than Ivanovic and Terry last year. Defenders are important. I'm not saying those will be the same 2 again next year but those 2 are going for the same price as Chadli who got a good bit less than those in a very good season for him, and most of us would agree he is well priced at that.

A defender who will post say an overall season score for you of 125 plus is a very good investment, often just as good as most of your midfielders that aren't Aguero, Costa, Sanchez, Hazard (those sort of guys who you can't have 11 of)

I agree but I usually try and find the cheaper players that will increase in value without ruining my start.

Not sure if this attachment works. I wanted it to show in my message but not as a link.

    EDIT - and failed.

I personally don't get the Mané love, but otherwise it's well a balanced team.

(p.s. when I said no more than 1 L'pool player before GW5 I would make an exception for Gomez given that he is a cheapie defender and fits in well for home games.)
