    Last few loads coming in now and they will help us cover it. We were very lucky with the weather. My parents are away and its lashing were they are. They thought I was mad to be at silage today

    Yep, hope so too. Cancelled contractor for tomorrow. Even if it stays dry until then every place is soaked and will need a few days to dry out. Will try again next week - which looks much better.

    Ground not too bad here either but there has been so much rain locally in the last few days it just made sense to let everything dry out a bit. Grass would be soaked to the core.

    True. Alot of grass here is full of water I'd say. Plenty of wilt needed

    was amazed how dry our silage was the other day, no juice has come out of it yet either.

    true, i was going to cut about 2 weeks ago and i left it as there was supposed to be a few good days come last week, we never got them. Hope things do improve

    Ha been dry since but serious ran coming Thursday night all Friday. Don't know about the lads but I'm staying in bed all day!

    Third cut being knocked here today also. A week later than planned. Hopefully won't have too many knock on effects on extending grazing.
