New draft since yesterday, getting closer to my final line up I feel, I think this gives me potential to get Kun in gw4,

    Ruddy (Krul)

Ivan, Huth, Wisdom, (Target) , (Muniesa)

Zaha, Hazard (C), Cazorla, Sterling, (Mahrez)

    Rooney, Pelle, Lukaku (V)

    criticism please?!

Nicely balanced side. I'd be nervous about having CP and Everton players in the beginning as they have a tough enough run of games.

Defense needs sorting. Taylor and Targett won't be playing after collocini and bertrand are back and Baker won't play full stop. Too much money spent in midfield so you need to downgrade someone to upgrade a few others. Perhaps henderson to ritchie allowing taylor and baker to be upgrade to 2 x playing 4.5 defs of your choice such as bassong and cameron who rotate excellently.

You're definitely right they won't but I reckon by the time that comes around, say GW 3/4/5, there'll be a good chance an option for a 4.0 defender say Oxford or Mariappa might be starting due to injury. All in all, I'd rather run the risk of having 2 4.0 starting defenders to begin with in order to transfer Aguero in and see from there as well as having a strong attacking 7+1.

I'm going with him from week 1 if he's passed fit. He's been back in training since last week so has a chance.

True, I may drop Lukaku after GW1 for a 5.5M striker with a nice fixture list and bank for Aguero

Hazard to Cabaye or a decent 8ish million mid and Kane or Benteke to Aguero if I have to get him in in 2 transfers. But it's going to be difficult for anyne to have more than one of Haz/Sanchez/Aguero

    Latest draft

    YJStib9.png

Unsure of the Ruddy/Rudd combo BUT Norwich have decent enough fixtures until GW6 when they face Liverpool, They also play Southampton in that time too but i reckon that game could go either way.

Defence has gone a lot more budget conscious than it was in my initial draft but hopefully O'Shea/STaylor/Huth can all do a job with STalyor being the only main concern regards game time.

Midfield, Wijnaldum is a bit of a risk but he could be big for Newcastle and Mané finished last season strongly so hopefully he can kick on from there.

Kane/Costa/Benteke - I've clearly gone top heavy but that's usually my game plan starting out

    Thoughts and opinions please :)

Can't believe this is even being discussed.
    Well worth 13.0

Going with this to start GW1 (Have plans for Sanchez & Aguero)

Butland & Ruddy as 2 GK, they seem to rotate well until GW10 or so.

Mertesacker / Shaw / Mings (Targett & S. Taylor to begin with. Slight rotations here but hoping & praying for a 4.0 defender to deputise in case of injury that I can easily transfer in for Targett or Taylor)

Hazard / Henderson / Ozil / Sterling (Fletcher)

    Rooney / Wilson / Costa

    Any feedback please?
Also, anyone going to begin the GW playing any of the three 'new' games?

Back again. Redid a lot of my defence to try and pick players with favourable fixtures. Decided to drop my Walcott/Ozil headache and go with Ramsey. He's only 8.5 and is certainly proven going forward.

I also brought in Rooney, Benteke and Wilson as my #3. Rooney and Benteke both proven PL goalscorers, and Wilson can score goals (despite them all coming in lesser leagues) for a 5.5m punt.

I have 1m left over and not too sure what to do with it at the moment.

    Draft no. 479

    Mignolet (Guzan)

    Fonte, Morgan, OShea, Ward (Baker)

    Silva, Fabergas, Henderson, Chadli (Maherz)

    Rooney, Augero, Ings

    Opinions?

    Team
    Courtois need Chelsea defensive cover
    Bellerin :should start
Wisdom:scored nice points for WBA last year
    Kolorov:Seems nailed on for City.
    Hazard: can't do without him
    Walcott: could be explosive
    Depay: same as Walcott
Ritchie: hopefully steps up a level
Lukaku: one week gamble option and bringing in Harry next week.
    Rooney: needs a good season
sakho: cheap but in good form.
Subs: Hennessy, Williams (Swan), Saylor and D Fletcher.
Could go horribly right or wrong, I'm a bit concerned about the balance though especially home and away.

I'm just messing around and considering the downgrade of Costa -> Benteke pending any updates from Jose and Rodgers. If I do that I can go, for example:

    Myhill -> Pantilimon
    O'Shea -> £5.5m DEF
    Francis/Mings -> £5.5m DEF

It flies in the face of my plan all along to go with as cheap as possible GK's and DEF's, but I'm very happy with my midfield of Hazard, Walcott, Henderson and Ritchie (he's my punt) for the first few GW's so don't see much opportunity to upgrade there with the extra money. Even something like Henderson to Sterling doesn't appeal to me all that much but maybe I'm wrong there considering I'd already have Liverpool in Benteke and could spread the risk around a bit. That GW2 fixture for Liverpool is very tasty however. Your thoughts?

    Team with Costa:

    d596cc4866a219650ceae9ae7aeef879.png

Team with Benteke (£5.5m DEF's not finalised):

    4e6bc6109765722d7b341d9fbfa47e26.png

Bit of a no brainer really, isn't it?

    That DEF would give me:

GW 1 - WHU, TOT, SUN (GK plays lei)
GW 2 - cpl, avl, WBA (GK plays NOR)
GW 3 - NEW, LIV, STO (GK plays SWA)

Any thoughts on the best £5.5m DEF's for the first 3 or 4 weeks by the way lads? I really haven't considered such a strategy prior to now so admittedly haven't done my research at that price point.

    Clyne (was diamond for Southampton)
Phil Jones (guaranteed to play in the man utd team?)
sterling (has to seek repair his reputation and in a significantly improved team)
walcott (justify your new contract ya little bolliX. supposed to play through he middle)
hazard (complacency the only danger for this man)
henderson (take a lot of free kicks, captain and leader)
rooney (last big season for rooster. again more central and better support from midfield this year)
metrovic (a fcuk it ya need one wildcard.. will want to impress as new hero around the toon)
giroud (imagine playing in fromn of ozil carzola sanchez walcott ramsey..has to be goals in him worried he may not play though)

    brady ...freekicks
    baker..4.0
    mariappa...4.0

well lads do yere worst? where am i going wrong?

I wouldn't think Jones is guaranteed, you would be better opting for Shaw imo. He's same price as Jones £5.5M. Had a good pre-season and would get forward more than Jones so may be in for some assists.

It's easier to bring Aguero in if you have Rooney.

    Courtois, Schmeichal

Proven goalscorer who will start for United as a tradition #9 with a quality midfield behind him.

nice opening 3 fixtures esp 2&3 as he has great records vs villa and Newcastle
then gw4 its bye bye Wayne hello kun and hopefully the price gap has narrowed!

Ok, this Costa injury has caused a rethink. all criticisms welcome! Team is set up for 8 GWs only as will WC at that stage.

GKS: Mignolet & Ruddy - 8 nice home fixtures to start.

DEF: Mertesacker, Cedric, Huth, Coates, Mings. I have 0.5 to upgrade Mert to Azpi but think Arsenal might be tight at the back this year. Cedric looks like he likes to push on and hopefully Saints are as tight at the back this year. The other 3 give me SUN, NOR, SWA, LEI, AST, SUN, sto, WAT.

MID: Fabregas - can't justify the extra for Hazard with their early fixtures.
Sterling - could be used as a front man till Aguero returns.
Henderson - great value at the price. As bad as Liverpools away fixtures are, the home ones are great.
Ozil - could still be Cazorla or Walcott but Ozil looks the safest bet for starts.
Ritchie - Seem a lot for someone who won't play for me every week but is part of my Aguero plan.

    FOR:
Rooney - Main man at Man U and viable captain option.
Lukaku - striker with best fixture in GW1
Pelle - up and running in the EL, hoping he carries it into the league season.

Aguero plan: Rooney and Lukaku to Aguero and Deeney (Deeney rotates with Ritchie)

0.5m in the bank for price rises etc.

I'd get Courtois, Bellerin and Cedric (think that would be the same amount). Gives you Chelsea coverage, and I'm personally not too bothered with United coverage.

    Early draft ended up with

    Butland - Ruddy

    Cedric - Huth - Azpilicueta - Alderweireld - Francis

    Walcott - Wanyama - Fabregas - Ritchie - Sterling

    Rooney - Kane - Benteke

Worries are no Aguero or Hazard. Could easily get Hazard in if I downgrade a striker alright. Might wait and see with Aguero.

Looks solid to me. 9.5m is a little more than I'd like to spend on GKs, but you're well set up to get Aguero in for two transfers

    I'm pretty much set up.

Going to wildcard after gw4 unless I get terrific start (which I won't).

I prefer cheapest possible gk pair and Norwich has best starting fixtures out of Leicester,Stoke and Crystal Palace.

Targett might get one game, Saylor probably 1-2 games but don't like their fixtures so opted Oxford as a my 4.0 enabler. If I'm lucky he plays those Lei, Bou home games.

    Front8 is quite template.

So many teams coming now that it's impossible to keep up never mind offering advice. As your new we'd like to keep you so....

It's a good team, any suggestions I would make would only be my own preference but you could well be right.
I don't see the point in O'Shea, he's no threat in the box (Germany might disagree:pac:) and I don't see a lot of clean sheets, I've got PVA at the mo but that's for his offence.
If you downgrade Fabianski to a 4.5 the extra .5 could go a long way.
I'd prefer Benteke to Kane and there's another .5m,(edit: it's actually1m in the difference) put those two together and you ca upgrade Azpil to Ivan which I think is worth the million.

Still as I said it's a good team.
    Good luck
