Boykin gone to the Steelers for a 5th round pick. Pittsburgh have got a bargain with that deal.

Well balls that's a poor enough trade for the Eagles abd i think it's only a conditional 5th at that

It blows my mind how overvalued late round picks seem to be.

    Awful move by Chip.

    Hi guys,
I am going to be in New York for Giants-Patriots game. Is 300 dollars for two tickets too much though? Will it be a good atmosphere? Never been to NFL game before. It is on November 16th

On this forum I guess most people will be football fans so would clearly go. Are you into NFL? If you are then you definitely have to experience a game (and pregame). If you're not into NFL but into other spots, you'll definitely appreciate the game/atmosphere.

A for the game, who knows that those teams will be like come November. Patriots always seem to be competitive, Giants could be absolutely anything.

As for the price, yeah unfortunately that's standard NFL prices at the moment. Actually if it's $150 per ticket you're offered, that's less than cost price.

The 49ers have gotten quite a bit of criticism since moving to the new stadium, apart from the crazy prices and stupid rules ($60K for a license to buy a season ticket), the fact that large parts of the stadium are in direct sunlight, forcing fans indoors as it gets so uncomfortable, the main problem has been the playing surface.

In truth it's been a disaster, cutting up very badly and generally being a mess ever since opening.

You would think that with the entire off season to sort this out they would have resolved this particular issue but no.

It's so bad that team are now moving practice away from Levi stadium.

Oh, by the by, Superbowl L will be played there in February.

150 a ticket? I'd snap their hand off. I'm looking at double that for the Seahawks when I'm in Seattle in September.

Really? For what game? I got 49ers/Seahawks tickets in 2013 for around $125

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

Bears but it is the first home game of the season. I'm checking stubhub religiously but it's 270 minimum most times I check.

Slightly cheaper over on NFL Ticket Exchange

Best of luck with it, I'm looking for Bears/49ers tickets myself. It's an expensive business.

It really depends if the game will fully sell out or not I think. Got Bucs tiks for $45 there, and Vikings Pats ones for $70 last season. If there's one thing that seems strange is the price differential between what the Americans regard as 'good seats' and say the upper tiers. Sideline tickets near halfway will often cost 10x more than the upper corner for instance. Doesnt make too much sense. If anything, NFL is one of the better games to sit in the upper tiers, given theres so much going on across the field. Id rather be in the back 5 rows of the upper than the first 5 rows of the lower in most stadiums

Do many teams actually practice inside their stadiums? That's probably rare isn't it? And don't the 49ers have practice fields right beside the stadium. Why aren't they practicing there?

I've no idea, they do have practice fields too which is where they are moving practice too. I guess it makes sense for open practices to be in the stadium with the media facilities etc.

Titans have a dedicated training facility about 5 miles from the stadium

Philip Rivers' and his wife are expecting their 8th child, apparently.

Soon he'll have enough to fill a roster for a San Diego expansion team, once the Chargers relocate to LA.

They were tickets for Jets-Bills as well but they were 100 dollars. Thought the giants-pats be better game for 50 dollars more.

Saw a small piece with Bruce Arians of the Cardinals talking about training camp. He basically said it's getting more and more difficult to prepare for the season with the NFL mandated restrictions on practice, limits imposed on full up pads and contact allowed under the current CBA. Is there a point where too many restrictions are too much?

Well as long as every team has the same restrictions in place, it's still a level playing field across the NFL. I think when you weigh up the pros and cons it's probably good for the game as a whole to have the players healthier, and it's one of the few things the players seem to have gotten back in the last CBA.

Hmmm they're much cheaper. Issue is that I know you get a lot of protection if something goes wrong with your ticket at Stubhub and on the official exchange. You've never had any issues with these guys I assume?

I went to 49ers v Giants last year in Metlife...paid around $110 each for seats way in the top, but the view was great. Bought officially through Ticketmaster as soon as they went on sale. In terms of atmosphere...it was unreal! New Yorkers are great for light hearted abuse & banter! Lots of 49ers fans dotted around the place...abuse flying around but certainly no agro! I've also been to two Wembley games, and there was basically no atmosphere at them compared to the NY game.
Heading to SF Levis for a game later this year, and have tickets 10 rows away from end zone...cost around $130...but prices are cheaper against Falcons & due to 49ers off season!!

    Recuperating.

Although it's pretty obvious now, that Rivers must be the fittest man in the NFL.:)
