The clear indicators are a nice change but the alloys take years off it.

It's actually a deep navy, looks black in the pictures. But ya, black isn't that all of a common colour on them.

Starlet is looking well after a much needed polish and wax. Next step is to put some tyres on my OEM alloys and maybe lower it a bit, we'll see how she's sitting :D

Nice one MC, well wear. Mine is getting close now, it's due to land in off the boat next weekend.

Is android auto / CarPlay standard in the Skoda? VW aren't even offering it as an option but word is it can be dealer enabled later as it's just a software update.

I thought mine was on that boat but it was on last weekends one. It's standard on the VRS (hence why I didn't spec nav).

Same 184 diesel lump I had in the FR I'm afraid:( But at least this is a diesel that will be used for covering road as opposed to nipping down to the shops. When I went car shopping I was dead set on a GTI but things changed and I needed more space. I keep promising myself the next one will be a petrol but it never seems to happen for me.

To be honest a pet hate of mine is having the badging the same as the petrol variant. Still goes well enough and the newer engines are better in use but you know yourself, still something missing.

Best of luck MC, looks fantastic!

I think the petrol vRS had green brake calipers whereas the diesel has red, at least that was the way on previous generations.

On the Leon the FR diesel was just badged FR, petrol is badged Cupra afaik.

Well wear MC , I see you've stayed with white, have to say I test drove a Leon FR and man it is quick ;) very nice!!

Don't think they do the green calipers thing now. The diesel VRS is pretty much indistinguishable from the petrol version now.

Front and rear sensors, black pack, the anthracite wheels, extra lights in the back, heated windscreen, heated seats, colour MFD, hill hold, reversing camera, tints on the back, driving mode selector and an alarm. No one big ticket item like a sunroof or the big screen nav but the other bits make a nice difference.

Are those leather seats standard on the vRS now? How does the vRS compare to the FR so far?

They're only half leather, they do look like leather in the pics alright. I tried one with the leather and its pretty mank even by pleather standards.

Engine seems smoother, gearbox feels better too so there's obviously been some fettling there. Doesn't have the Leon's chuckability and misses a bit of its go too but feels sufficiently different that I know its a different car.

same with Audi Quattos, why put a tractor engine into cars that nice. Vrs looks good thou. Dont get whats with the same styling as a petrol. Much better spec than Octavias in the uk.

    The VRS

The de-chromed grill and window surrounds look awesome.

Looks nicely spec'd too. Wear well.

It's your car, and you're more than fully entitled to do with it what you want.

    I think that's a shame to see a 7er like that though.:(
