I wonder what he works at - something in his work environment triggering it?

It does, but I'm not sure about the ethics of discussing someone else's medical condition on public radio. I wonder does he know she's doing this?

I suppose they are looking for somebody else who has it, with maybe some treatment they haven't tried

I know somebody called Milton, but I doubt he's available for bath duty.

I don't get why she brings him to A&E rather than a gp. I have eczema myself and it can be horrific at times. I've never been to hospital with it except when I was younger. The gp provides everything and a subscription which will last a while. I had a very bad outburst a few years ago and couldn't move my arm without it bursting in itches. The GP sorted me out fine.
