Breakfast sounds like the typical ****e from a petrol station.

Breakfast sounds like that which was prepared, and still probably is, at a 4 Star hotel where I worked in County Wexford.

Just his usual going on about his own family life ... if it were now and then it would be ok, but he should be a professional and keep it to a minimum, as it is he is always doing it .

Whatever it is, you can be sure Philip will make it even more boring than it actually is.

Enjoy folks, I'll not be listening today. My cynicism presence is required elsewhere.

Has AirBnB replaced the traditional B&B? Does a B&B have a lot more to offer?

Why don't the B&B's simply add themselves to Airbnb offering room and board or am I completely missing something?

I still don't get who makes the Brekkie on AirBnB- you do it yourself I presume- shouldn't it be called Air B then?

Sure, some people would love it, if they were expected to muck out the cows in the morning before breakfast. There's a real opportunity here - get people to pay well for a working holiday.

For a 5 star you need to offer the full service.

    Do B&Bs pay commercial rates?

How could you possibly offer that level of service in a B&B, it would be like opening a McDonalds on Ireland Eye, the customers wil never justify the costs.

i believe some of the options are just rooms in a persons house. They may offer breakfast. this was the case when my stayed in one.

This one going on about the standards of the B+B's has her head in the clouds. Most of the B+B's I have stayed in over the last few years have been very basic, with a greasy fry up in the morning. I now happily pay for a hotel room, and there is not much in the price difference.
