    From Blackadder:

He was hailed as the 'Hero of Mboto Gorge' in 1890, where he had faced "ten thousand Watutsi warriors armed to the teeth with kiwi fruit and dry guava halves". He even saved the life of Douglas Haig (later Field Marshal Douglas Haig) when he was nearly killed by a pygmy woman with a sharpened mango

love BA, above reminds me of "General Haig is about to make another gargantuan effort to move his drinks cabinet 2 feet closer to Berlin" or something along those lines

I can't wait for the day I meet Bertie on the street. That f*cker will get all the hate and vitriol I've been storing up for years in one go.

Most of us get rid of it on here:cool:

Not sure if I'll be around for the borefest today.

I was just wondering if Joe took the week off to advise Bertie on his appearance before the com-mit-teee today? You know, to help with the Dubalinese, malapropisms, mixed metaphors etc.

I wonder would Joe charge "fees" for such advice? Although actually now that I come to think of it maybe it's Bertie who's been advising Joe on his use of the English language all these years, so to speak?
