Falcao to Chelsea has been finalised according to The Guardian. Also (same source) Nani is going to Fenerbache. Cabaye is talks with Palace for 10 million pounds supposedly too, which isn't all that surprising since Pardew's worked with him before.

Shaqiri to Stoke? What a signing that would be.

Shaqiri against Liverpool to start the season!

    Clyne confirmed. Excellent stuff.

    What a steal

Absolutely fantastic if they can pull it off, truly next level for that sort of club.

Hughes is able to bring in some cracking foreign signings at decent prices (I know the reported £12m is not cheap, but for a player like that it's canny) whenever he goes as manager.

Not sure which is more impressive...

Liverpool getting Clyne for absolute peanuts or Stoke agreeing a deal for Shaqiri.

    Bloody hell.

£12.5 million for a 24 year old full back with one good season behind him is peanuts to you?

Like he looked pretty average his first season with Southampton and then had an up and down year. Last season he was good, maybe very good but he still has to show consistency for more than a season.

I'm not saying it's a bad signing or anything like that but I don't think the price is cheap considering what he has done to this point in his career.

Nani agrees terms at Fenerbache 3.5m deal.

Shaqiri only moved to Inter in January, why would they let him go already?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

He wanted to leave and £10m is a reasonable fee for Inter who paid around £11m, Mancini only started him 8 times

It hasn't gone well for him at his last 2 clubs for various reasons.

Undeniable talent, but you never know what way it will go based on that.

And at the same time complaining about £90 match day tickets (not the poster necessarily).

Seen it in a few threads here in the soccer forum, remarks about transfer fees: "Peanuts", "not my money so go for it".
Now either these posters have never seen a stadium on the inside and have no intent to do so or they are filthy rich themselves.

Dani Osvaldo released by Soton, that transfer makes Liverpool's dealings look well judged! :pac:

12 months on his contract too.

Personally, I'm very happy with it as its absolutely a position of need, and if he can be consistent at an anyway decent level, he'll turn out to be a great signing. But I'd agree that its not exactly a bargain.

Usual English player scenario, but I'm just glad we paid the extra and didn't let him go to Spurs or United, or anyone else who might have made a move.

15 million, minus a couple of loan fees from Juve, Inter and Boca.

1 miss from Southampton doesnt make Pools dealing look good.

Guy is an absolute nutcase though.

Liverpool splashing out on plenty of promising to good players again much like last season and Spurs did the season before. Anyone expecting anything but the same result?

I think Clyne and Firmino will do well there

Jones out - Bodgan in (will anyone notice or care!?)
Johnson out - Clyne in - £12.5m definite upgrade for less wages
Gerrard out - Milner in zero net spend on wages (plus signing fee) better player in 2015/16
Sterling out (we presume) £50m (£40 net) - Firmino in £21m (rising to £29m) again net wage neutral as Sterling would have got 100k if he stayed
Borini out (surely) - Ings in likely upgrade at zero net cost.
Coates out - Gomez in small net loss (2m v 3.5m) zero wages as Gomez will be loaned out. One of the most highly rated young CBs around.

Obviously it's hard to be sure of players yet signed so I won't speculate but Clyne, Milner, Firmino will clearly be starters in the first 11 most weeks.

I think Liverpool have bought fantastically so far, fair play to them. Ofc it could all go tits up but I don't think so. Quality signings. Could do with a top class winger now. Beat Stoke to Shaqiri perhaps? Why is Stoke even an option for such a top player?

    United fan

Milner will probably do well as well. At least you know what you're getting with him.

Cabaye is a level above Palace with the greatest respect to them.

That, if it happens, is a massive indicator as to where the mental money is in Europe at present. EPL is awash with cash.

Shaqiri crosses it to Bojan and it's a goal for.... Stoke! really Stoke are you sure it's not Juve or Dortmund or someone?

Talk of Leroy Fer going to Sevilla.

Guess there isnt an EPL club brave enough to pick him up after relegating with Norwich and QPR :D
Time for him to stay injury free for a while now.

Shaqiri was awful at Inter. He wasn't even getting off the bench at the end of the season. Not surprised they have taken the first offer to get their money back

Signing Stephane Mbia from relegated QPR didn't do Sevilla any harm!

This is the luxury of playing abroad in a league not many people watch. You can play terribly and people still love you

Can everyone stop with the Pogba talk now.

Marotta: "Barca offered us 80 million for Pogba but we don't want to sell him."

    Edit:

    At least until next summer....
