Not sure. Is the tiptronic on quatros only, and multi tronic on the front wheel drive?

An audi with reverse gear missing ?
Could this be a job for Edd China ?
Didn't he do a TT recently that was missing a couple of gears? IIRC the part needed to fix it was just a 50p bolt (and hours of a mechanic of his ability's time!)

That multitronic box is a pig. Known for frying it's ECU. Think they're about €700 even second hand and you've to drop the gearbox to fit it iirc.

Ya it was a sheared bolt that was the issue but pulling the gearbox from a tt then splitting the case and coming up with the fix was no small job even if a new bolt was all that was required

Aye, not exactly one you could do in the driveway!

    318i lpg .
    ready for test..
69k lots of work done .
saw a new set of firestone tires on her..its a garage sale so should have comeback.
Saw it today and it's mint.
Bit pricey but plenty of 'aggle room ..

Considering a clean 3 series with a longish nct is a lot cheaper than that, I think you will struggle to get value from it.

    Anyone interested in my Astra?

    17236729052_577d7f7e54_c.jpg

    It's a 2001 Vauxhall Astra
    1.4 16V engine (90hp) runs very good
    174k miles
    5 speed manual gearbox
    Electric windows on front
AC (may need to be regassed though)

ECU was replaced about 2 months ago
    New oil and filter
    New brake pads
Taxed until end of August 2015

NCT failed on brake pipes and backplates. No problems with emissions, they were under 0.1% at both low and high RPM.

    Open to offers.

    Will take €300. :o

    All 4 good tyres
    Good engine
    Taxed for another 2 months

Am I crazy to want to buy this?

Am I crazy to want to buy this?

I believe the auto Audis can have some gremlins with the auto box. Not a cheap repair if I remember correctly.
I'd rather just buy one working properly unless you can get it fixed for next to nothing.
Or.... it could be a simple fix like needing new oil :D

Am I crazy to want to buy this?

If only I could get insured on that

Wouldn't mind poking around to try and get it sorted, at that price :D

Exactly. I'm trying to figure out a worst case scenario. How much to recondition the gearbox? A new gearbox?

[edit] mechanic says up to 4 grand to sort out

That's about right to be honest. If the light is the only problem it's a pretty good price.

500 asking for an Accord with FSH, low miles, full cow etc

    43226519.jpeg

needs a rear lens and you have to be handy with the bumper repair - or replace it, should be enough of these about

as a bonus it has test till August and Tax till Sept.

They're **** cars, you'd be much better off with an older one.

850 is not cheap for that either

yea heard they were very soft alright- shame as the saloons looks are growing on me after years of hating them

Aren't they just a reskin of the old model (saloon)?

Nice summer project if all the parts are indeed there. I'd be pushing for the wheels to be included in the deal though.

But a super car to have back on the road.
