    You'd want to be brave.

Waste of money I'm sure but think it looks lovely for the money (395 euro) considering you'd not pay a huge amount less for a decent set of alloys.

The layout of his ad's give me headaches.

He also claims that the NCT is up on that car this month, while the NCT website says different...

Grammer pretty poor alright and its not mint if theres a knocking noise coming from the engine.

Still surely worth the money as a parts car if nothing else.

Bought a car from Mike before. Honestly one of the strangest individuals I've ever met. Not many people stand around in a completely dark yard close to midnight shuffling cars around for what appeared to be no reason. A conversation can very smoothly progress from cars to law to the stock market and then to jumpers and other quality clothing items. Nice enough chap though:)

You'd make your money back selling the wheels and interior alone if you were that way inclined or could be a handy project if you just wanted something to learn on.

Is his name Mike? I thought it was John....

Anyway as per DZ, Mike/John is an interesting fellow. He reckons he lives in Thurles but unless Thurles is 75 miles wide then I'm not so sure. His dealership is in Ireland somewhere alright and has a wide range of stock, cars, financial advice and probably cattle can be bought from the man.

His done deal ads are absolutely priceless though and I urge anyone with a good grasp of the English language to witness such an incredible achievement as to be able to incorrectly spell so many words in such little space.

I think I should change my signature to "HANDY TRADE IN AXEPTED" in his honour :p

decent yoke there, a whisker of NCT and a good likelihood of it passing another (gauges maybe a problem?).

bit of a chunk taken out of it but in fairness, you'd probably get it through the test and it'd make a great dailynomic that you could enjoy but not worry about parking it between a Megane mk2 and a trolley bay. 190bhp, 40mpg, 500 quid.

What an absolute bargain. That is just fantastic. The temptation to buy it is overwhelming!!! well almost overwhelming.

another potential 500 quid hero. look at that interior! is that rust on the leading edge of the bonnet?

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/toyota-corolla-1995/10671639

corolla with a nice patina. there would be something ironically cool about driving this imo.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/quick-sale-04-mg-zr/10559064

this guy has all the quick sale excuses; he has a company car but he's also leaving the country! i'd also imagine when he says "minor work", he probably means "head gasket job". how and ever, that's a great looking car in a great colour, the facelift models are scarce and the spec is good. i reckon they'l be desirable in the distant future.

plenty of interesting ****e in the classifieds tonight :pac:

    Why LOL?

I know my father in law has a yoke for sale, but his daughter has placed the ad, and says to contact her, as she is better at dealing with people than he is.

    Why LOL?

Mullingar is laughing at the " LADY DRIVER, FULLY SERVICED" comment.

    Isn't he?:o

    almost a bangernomic, almost.

only asking €450, engine alone is worth that. still has 5 months NCT and "2 liter on the book ladddd".

it's a toyota, it either needs a drop of petrol in the tank or a new battery :pac:

in all seriousness though, yeah, it could be anything.

Something very odd with that interior.

There was never a black dash with cream leather seats/wheel. It might have been originally a cloth interior and a previous owner swapped it around and even went to the trouble to change the cloth on the door cards.

strongly thinking of going to look at this. apart from the usual car stuff, are these known for anything in particular. would probably only be buying it to park up for the time being, but owning an Alfa is apparently on every enthusiasts to-do list and you'd never get into one much cheaper than that.

Tbh, as much as I'd say yeah go for it, I'd rather see you drive a well minded one that's in decent shape.

Essentially I'd hate for you to buy one @300 and for it to turn out to be a complete dog and give you a bad taste if you get me?

It could be a hidden gem though, tough to know!
