Reckon De Gea's wanted to leave since SAF retired tbh. Had to keep the head down and perform until now.

    Ramos is brilliant

He's a brilliant defender but he picks up far too many yellow cards and is liable to miss multiple games during the season. Also he makes a couple of rash decisions and they tend to happen in big games.

He Does go over the line sometimes but he plays on the edge which I like EPL might suit him that way. Will improve United massively. Likes popping up with goals in big games too.

It's funny that they have Spurs in there , Fact is he was never going there if he was leaving it was for a champions league club no where else

Schnederlin and Ramos for United would be fantastic.

Wouldn't even look at price much tbh. United earn far more money than any other PL team, so they can splash out like this without much issue.

I know as a Liverpool fan that I don't want Ramos joining United, not even at 40m, so it'll probably be money well spent. He's till got plenty left in the tank too, imo.

Yeah but the problem is that LVG needs to win now so he's buying short term hence were heavily been linked with Ramos and Schweinsteiger. Carrick is a crock though so we badly need to buy another central midfielder.

Realistically if LVG wants to win the league next year we'll need two midfielders, a CB and a right back. I just don't see us being able to do that in one window.

Don't think there's a better defender than Ramos in the league

I think there's one defender who's played every minute of the league just gone who'd be classed as quare good, considering he's 33.
Not half as card happy either!

Perez wants Ramos to stay calm,Ramos wants the club to listen to offers for him.Cope in Spain also going with similar.

What is Ramos' beef with Real that he wants out so badly?

Terry was excellent last year. His reading of the game is excellent now something I thought he lacked for a long time. He was always a great defender but often had to make last ditch tackles, which he was excellent at.

Rafa tried to replace him but he's come back as strong as ever since but I do believe that Rafa was right to drop him at the time as his form was poor but he's turned it around and is a world class defender again.

I still would have Carvalho ahead of him as the top Chelsea CB to play in the Premier League. Now there was a guy who didn't break a sweat defending. The only time that guy was moving quickly was when he was going on one of his trademark runs with the ball up the pitch.

Isn't there something about a Barca presidential candidate saying he'd sign Ramos and he was upset that Madrid didn't come out to deny it....and say he's an important part of the club, etc

He is supposedly on less than half the money the foreign imports at Madrid. Think Casillas had the same issue a few years ago

Dont like Ramos as a player nor do I like his behaviour.

This being my favourite ramos moment

But if it is true that he is on half the money that Bale gets, he has a valid reason to throw some toys out.

Sunderland chasing Downing and a deal for Coates is almost done, per The Telegraph.

    Best in the league.

    Proper captain too

Yeah Terry would still be the best IMO also.

Okazaki to Leicester. That came from nowhere. Thought they were well enough stocked up front to be honest in Vardy, Kramaric, Ulloa and Nugent. Not sure he's gonna be nailing down a position there.

Can't see Ramos leaving, Real never sell their star players. Pepe is more likely and they'll probably replace him with someone like Otamendi

Ladbrokes have him at 1/4 to stay, and 9/4 to go to Utd

Vardy and Nugent played out wide when the used the three strikers. Ulloa, Okazaki and Kramaric will rotate the central striker spot.

Downing would be a good signing in fairness, I got the impression he was playing very well at West Ham, especially when they were doing great around mid way of the season.

Yeah I'd be very happy with him. He's a player I've always liked since we had him on loan for a few months back in 2003 and we badly lack creativity, ranking bottom of the league in terms of chances created last season per Squawka. Downing had 6 goals and 8 assists last season playing in a more central role where I'm sure he'd be used with us, so he would certainly help out.

He was anonymous from January onwards, but to be honest the whole West Ham squad were as it was common knowledge that Allardyce was off, so I'd give him a pass for that.

I hope we get it done.

what is it with swansea and strikers with dreadlocks lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Whenever I've seen Eder play he looks like someone who has won a competition to be allowed to be a professional footballer for the day. No idea what Swansea see in him to be honest. If they'd got him for free he'd still have cost too much.

That's a really good signing for Leicester. They tried to sign him in January too but couldn't agree a fee. Big loss for Mainz
