I hear abp Nenagh will be closing for 2-3 weeks for a refurb.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Has the bse scare had any impact on factory quotes or mart prices over last few days??.if case turns out to be positive how do he see things going??

Farmers will be there own worst enemies over next few weeks. most of our beef goes to the UK. It only has control status as well. Lads that panic and run with unfit cattle are idiots. If it happens it will only happen for 2-4 weeks.

No of young cattle already slaughtered this year are 30K higher than this time last year. There was at least 100K less of them at start of year. That means that 130K less young cattle to kill between here and November which is 4-5K/week of a kill lower than last year.

But there is no accounting for idiots

No, I don't think you're wrong, prices are often a lot less than that. Hopefully you made a few quid.

Will probably bring to the mart for him. What's trade like for finished or near finished black white head heifers?
