Was I the only one watching who actually when the dramatic music went quite during the battle that Jon Snow was actually a gonner?

Best episode since the Wildling attack on the wall towards the end of season 4!

Presumably Jamie knows she did "hook up" with someone else, and it's not like he'd be in a position to criticise someone for incest :D

I actually think that Jaime would be very upset about that. They're always saying (or at least Cersei is and I assume Jaime feels the same) that they have a special bond because they're twins and they're meant to be together. So being together is one thing, but just sleeping with any old member of your family is gross :P

To be honest, I'm surprised that the cousin thing is such a big deal in Westeros - I would have thought that they'd be a bit like the European royal families where they often married cousins of some degree.

Yeah, the importance of the family name (for the powerful families) would seem to encourage a certain degree of inbreeding.

So is there only one giant left? and if the white walkers can bring anything back will they have a couple of zombie giants and mammoths ?

Tommen is pure useless, who would ever respect or fear him

I know it was said that royalty are not exempt from questioning but now he has allowed his queen and mother to be taken

I realise they will have their throats slit if the army is sent in but he has to do it or he is even weaker than the last king

Maybe time for another round of mass crucifications!

Tommen can't be long for this world I guess. Not a charecther with much to add

For some reason I think the mountain will save Cersei

Well with Cersei's flashback in the first episode this season, I'm imagining both Tommen and his sister will die. The woman said something like "Gold will be their hair, their thrones and their shrouds". Already seen that with Joffrey

Nobody has mentioned it here but am I the only person thinking that the White Walkers purposely let Jon Snow go because they've scared the fook out of him now?

Let him go back to The Wall and inform those across it of their impending doom. Should cause some widespread panic.

(while I don't think Jon will do that, it could well be their plan).

I think the walkers are a bit wary of him just a little bit. Jon seems to be 'special' in a way that's bordering Jedi levels!

Think we are going to lose a main character this year though. Am hoping its not going to be Jon. You would think that they're not going to kill him off but I remember thinking the exact same thing with Ned and the rest is history:o

Can't see Tyrion going either but I think one of Jaime, Cersei or my favourite Jorah could go.

Seems to me that if you grow to like a character in anyway, they will snuff it soon enough.

Just watched the latest episode of Thronecast. Carice Van Houten (Melisandre) is obviously quite a pleasure on the eye but bygod was she an awful guest. She barely contributed anything.
Whereas Im of the opinon that Thronecast overall contributes nothing either. Watched it about 4 times .....waste of time.

My sons are shocked and impressed that GoT could have a more hated character than Joffrey!!

Also I think Jon Snows sword killed the white walker because it was a gift from the mad kings brother Maester Aemon and we all know they were into there dragons so maybe is was made from dragon glass. I Imagine you get dragon glass from dragons

Feeling scared for Stannis or Shireen - both been made very likeable this season

Is it just me or do a disproportionate number of mods post on this forum?

If we have to lose a main character, I really hope it's Ramsey and I hope he dies an awful horrible death :)

But knowing this show he'll probably end winning the whole thing :(

My favourite part of the episode was the big battle at the end.

Well that can be easily explained. I suppose most GoT fans would be considered a little on the nerdy side by many people. And as has been pointed out many, many times in the past, all mods are nerdy virgins who live in their mothers' basements (conveniently ignoring the fact that very few Irish houses have basements). So it stands to reason that if mods were flies then this forum is the internet equivalent of the massive steaming pile of dinosaur crap that Sam Neill and co waded through in Jurassic park.

There, sorted in an Irish context now.

Excellent stuff, the four horsemen and the zombie children and the dead rising.
This is why the last few episodes were poor, everything was put into that last 20 minutes.

    have a feeling <SNIP>

Mod edit: 'Feelings' from GOT book readers are not welcome here.

Thread. I meant to say thread.

Being a physically attractive surface dweller I'm not au fait with the terminology.

I could not help but stand still for a while after finishing. I just needed to enjoy the after effect. It felt like i just had Sex.
I call this "The Game of Throne episode 1"

I can see Ramsay being served up by his father to Stannis while he tries to pull off another plan.

Ramsey and their 20 men are going up to kidnap Stan is daughter.
The lady of light was on the boat with john snow at the end of the last episode.
The (mutant) mountain will save incest queen.
There will be no more actual fighting for the rest of series between the white walkers and crows. The drag the **** out of everything.
Jon snow could very well be killed by the young lad on the wall.

I was wondering about that! I was sure there was more than one giant left after the siege at the wall. But I suppose small coastal villages are not really conducive to gigantic living :D

Probably. But then again, he did tell her to get out of his sight, who knows where she went after that?

EDIT: Also, the way she was looking at Jon the time they burned all the bodies after the battle at Castle Black makes me think she thinks he's very important, perhaps even moreso than Stannis. For all her declarations of loyalty to Stannis, it's really the Red God she serves and I reckon she'd drop Stannis like a hot snot if it didn't suit her plans.
