I had a Kia Sportage overtake me and a line of cars on the hard shoulder earlier so he could get into junction 14 and grab a burger. Some idiots out there.

For Burger King this and many many other things would be acceptable

I don't like the stereotype or whatever you want to call it, just because a car is xx years old, it's a miracle of some sort that it still looks good.

I'm talking more along the lines of looking like a more modern, up to date car as opposed to its condition.
Hate having cars for sale on donedeal. Just put a car up and I already hate the idea of strangers in around the house and, more than likely, wanting the car for half of its asking price.

    Mondeo is it?

I never sold a car privately, always trade them in. I know I'm taking a hit but sure...

I'll probably sell the focus privately when the time comes, even though I'd be OCD when it'd come to selling a car, would need to be spotless, valeted, everything in order etc. Sell it the way you'd want to buy it would be my philosophy. Although have it too clean and nice and people would start to get suspicious. "Oh it's too clean, he must be hiding something".
I'll take my chances at home and with my hurl beside the front door

And the sliotar! An oul puc up the rear! Dog chewed up my best sliotar there today :(

The end was abit scary, didn't realise how many crew members they had making those documentaries.

A neighbour had a citroen xsara picasso, the people carrier yoke. Dome shaped thing. Anyway they got a new car. The uncle was like thank god they got rid of it, you didn't know whether they were coming or going. (can hardly tell what end is the front when looking at a side profile of one). I got an awful kick out of that one!

Am I on crack, or does the new DoneDeal layout not let you filter by location?

EDIT: Never mind.. it does... but it doesnt have the handy little map icon.. now I have to actually remember where I live. Bah! Why change it if it's not broken!!

Is there not a way of changing it back to the old layout?

If you have to remember where you live then you sir, are most definitely on crack I'm afraid :o

Don't think there's an option with the new layout to put in your keywords, eg. Highline, titanium, leather etc. You have to trawl through everything.

Ah but its easier with a map and clickable counties. Depending on your mood you can click into other counties thinking 'ah that's only around the corner', or 'jaysus I'm not going that far!'. Now I have to try and remember where other things are.

I couldn't find Ireland, on a map of Ireland. :o

I do feel cheated though. You'd think they'd have included extra search features for car that do and don't have NCT, or cars that are on NI plates (my pet peeves are finding a car that looks well priced and seeing 'NCT Just out', or seeing it has NI plates on it) :o

In relation to yourself Noccy.. I could be wrong, but i think that if you click into a section (gardening or motors or whatever), once you use the global search bar at the top, it only searches in the section you've chosen.

    Could be wrong.

The good thing about the old layout was that you could select multiple counties.

I was on the new layout yesterday, seem to have the old one gain today..

    Same goes for youtube

Nope, I have my sisters car up for sale. She's after getting a job abroad so there's no point in having her car parked up gathering dust until she comes back. Literally the minute it passed the NCT, we were putting it on donedeal!

Lost a brake pad of the car a few weeks ago. Just leaving cork it happened. Lucky the caliper survived.

Wow, how did that happen?

Remember my thread about nct not testing brakes properly? The discs were so bad they literally ripped out the pad. Many in that thread said I was talking ****e but that happened only a few days later. Lucky they didnt rip out the piston on the motorway. I suspect it was the big chunk out of the disk at the bottom of the pic that done it.

Last time it happened me it was the aux belt pulley shearing off. Got about 20 miles before she died.

Time before that was a back box going through the Jack Lynch which was awkward trying to retrieve...
