€50 all on of you chance Parcel Motel, can't argue with that even if it is 1gb.

Tempted to get a Pi2 to try something different.

You could be hit with customs on that though as its coming from China .
Parcel Motel will refuse it .

I presume using normal post would inevitably incur extra charges from Customs ?

I have the pipo x7. Its excellent.

Don't think it improves Kodi, as you'll still get the same quality of streams as the uploader provides.

The paid streams certainly run flawlessly on it.

Plus you can do everything you can do on a desktop with it. Microsoft word etc...

Gets rid of all the android stuff on it and leaves you with just kodi. Speeds it up a lot.

Am I correct in saying if I put openelec on it that it would then boot directly to Kodi?

    I know,
I have tried quite a few of them but this seems to be the most stable.
    T.S.C.
If you can follow the initials :D

Try Sparky streams or IPTV Stalker.

    Tried both.
They are good in fairness but seem to break down.
The one I mentioned has lots of channels and is quite good. Rarely breaks down.
    Thanks

Thats the latest I can find.

Sparky streams is good, but what disappointed me is that its coded in such a way that makes it useless for using with ivue or ftv.

Its a pity because its taken from the UKLIVETV app, where the streams are always pretty good.

For Minix X8 users , plenty of Firmware updates (which will optimize your Minix)
    FW 4 released
    FW 5 imminent

I'm still on the December release (x8-h) and have experienced no issues. I'll leave it a while. Love the Minix; its a great piece of kit.

For anyone toying with the idea of a cheaper box, this is performing well at my place. 1GB / quad core but no issues whatsoever. Running Kodi and performing flawlessly. All in for just a shade over €50 to your door from Amazon.
Obviously the included remote is sh1te but plenty of cheap options out there.

Rii will work fine, and 'tis cheap as chips.

Cheers, I have found after a lot of messing around you really need to have XBMC for Minix to get the best out of the box.

I ended up spending ages doing a build using standard Kodi and then figured out I could not easily transfer to XBMC for Minix so I installed standard Kodi on the box

Please note I am not saying Kodi doesn't work but all of a sudden I am getting cache filled error all the time. Seems to require a reboot a lot more often than before. Also if streaming(nothing illegal now) I seem to have a lot more issues with stuttering etc and quality is poorer. Need to just get off my ass some day and do a good build for XBMC for Minix.....

Sparky and IPTV from Vdubt25s channel work great on Kodi via laptop Win & and Android Tv Box.

    Can't thank them enough.
