I've no pictures but a mate of mine is well geared up for turf and has travelled ground like that with a 4wd 178 and ground drive trailer all on triple wheels

Blond, flexible, what's not to love?

(knew to prop the end of the bar, even at that age)

This is used on the first AD plant we built in NI. it feeds 30 ton of Silage and/wholecrop to the plant in 12 to 15 mins. Then it loads and unloads sawdust through a dryer for an hour or so.

Do you use the auto fill at all?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Used 90% of the time. It reduces filling time and wear and tear on the knees and hips from jumping up and down of the tractor.

Used it once and found it takes a bit to get used to but I'd say once your used to it it's some job. Tidy tanker alright.

We got a contractor for the first time ever in February this year with a trailing shoe as we had heavy grass covers, and then used our own for the remaining 30,000 gals in March. My dad has a knee and a hip replacement in the last 10 years so it is brilliant for him. (As he still does 90% of the work in the farm)

When you get them off, paint the threads with Stockholm Tar. The nuts will never loosen, and will never seize on again.

Plus it has the added advantage of keeping the flies off your nuts!!

Bit of a warning and rant here folks.

Look after your machines and try and make sure that they are secure. Called down to a neighbour that was cutting turf and this is what he was greeted with this morning.

Guards reckon that they tried to rob one of his diggers. When that failed they burnt that one out. Smashed the windows in the other and smashed the windows in his tractor and slashed all the tires on the hopper. Poor man has called in reinforcements and is on the go again.

Didn't know what to say to the man this morning. May whoever did this die screaming for a doctor

    Horrible horrible bastards
