    Right.

    Here's my current team.
    Myhill (QPR)
Terry (STK) Alder (eve) PvA (NEW)
Hazard (STK) Eriksen (bur) Sanchez (LIV) Silva (cry)
Giroud (LIV) Agüero (cry) Kane (bur)
Foster (red flag) ; Walters (yellow flag), Dawson (red flag), Coloccini (red flag)

    [...]

Am I right in thinking of "ignoring" this DGW?

So. Back from a skiing Easter weekend just to realise how wrong was I !

    55 pts. Down to 33k.

Turned 33 yesterday and realise I've been very conservative in my playing... Am I getting too old now :P? I know the young ambitious fella I once was (:P) would have gambled on such a DGW (Walters -> Phillips & bench Eriksen, Agüero -> Benteke and/or Giroud -> Austin). Hindsight is great and self-reassuring on how good your ideas could have been of course but these were 3 popular enough moves and I just know I would have made 2 of them even last year...

Ah... looks more like my consistent (C) failure this year finally got me :( ... And this week is no exception with Kane epic (C) fail again. This  actually fits so much better than this :(... *blasé*...

I've nothing to play for now this year (no private leagues, no "cup" games, no real hope in the overall rankings) bar the FPL Prem and get the highest finish possible.
So all focus is on helping the missus to get a cracking OR now. She almost reached the ton this week (Austin (C) :D) and took great advantage of the last 2 DGWs. She's not far off top 5k so game on :)!

    ---

Actually for all the ones sharing an acute (incurable ?) captainitis with me, may this picture from my FPL-free w-e help you find some inner peace :P.

    Amen .

60 points with no Austin or benteke. Gets me green arrows all around and keeps in touching distance in pay leaguez!

    Great result, can't complain.

Amazing how close it is at the top I started at 3900 too and 7 points more moved me 600 places further on!

I think it was less damaging to get it wrong last week and right this week than the other way around as my ranking shows!

Its tightly bunched though, youre only 47 ahead of me and over 8,000 higher OR.

Ye I suppose the thing with last week I had Kane anyway so got half the points but most of those missing out on austin capt pts didn't have him at all so it was a double whammy. On the plus side you can now argue you have worse captaincy stats than me.

Good week for the points difference could come in handy.

Was on the Oddschecker app , and I see Austin to be top scorer @ 40/1 is the 4th most popular bet

EDIT: Austin into 16/1 on Paddy Power!

88 points brings me up to 78th in the world, 8 points away from the first page of the leaderboard!

71 points. I just about got the green arrow I was looking for. But how foolish it was of me to not think of Captaining Austin.

Deciding against bringing in Benteke and Philips fairly backfired as well, lol :D

I pulled ahead of you briefly last week, but not for long!

You can't do any moaning for the rest of the season now!!

You're in with a real shout in the Harps league now. Lucky Edgbaston had Kane (c) and Benteke (vc)!!

    superb.

I was 45th once a couple of years ago, but it was on GW 20 or something.

To be there coming up to GW32 is a huge achievement, congrats.

Ye have a chance I'd be happy with top 3. Edgbaston having the wildcard is a nice advantage for him.

I threw another 10 on it on Coral @50/1 after his goal yesterday. They have it @ 28/1 now :D

Top three is still my target as well. Got third last year with an 8k finish, not gonna do it this year though....

Thanks, it's been pretty steady all season, no major scores, just ticking along.

A quick look at my scores I see I have 15 weeks where I got in the 40's or 50's, 15 weeks where I got in the 60's, 70's or 80's and none in the 90's or above! Oh and one week in the 30's from 2 weeks ago that I'm trying to forgot about!!

That's unreal consistency! Have you taken many transfer hits this season? And when you transfer players in, do you base it directly on their next fixture or their next 3 fixtures say? Sorry, I need help :D

I took one hit in gameweek 5 (to deal with the Debuchy injury) and another in gameweek 7 (Rooney red card), and that's it, so 8 points in total! I try not to take hits if possible.

With regards to transfers, at the start of the season I tend to look for pairs that rotate well, this season I've gone cheap in defence for most of it as there aren't too many clean sheets.

I tend to generally look at the next 2 or 3 games for good fixtures and plan around that. Any time I try to plan longer than that there is an injury or suspension that gets in the way!

That is insanely consistent! I guess I am just behind in the 40s/50s and 60/70s but that one big score probably makes up a lot of that ground.

I think we're going to have to get another table going this is how my scores breakdown:

    Name | 0-9 | 10-19 | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70-79 | 80-89 | 90-99 | 100-109 | 110-119 | 120+
