Could use 3 female presenters and revamp show that way
    Could call it
    Topless Gear
Only one think better than fast cars
Fast cars with boobies bouncing around

But there were 3 t*ts already on that show..

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

Just reading the BBC report and am baffled that some people can still criticise the BBC and defend Clarkson.

Exactly. Anybody who claims the BBC did not do the right thing here can never again criticize how sections of society get away with various forms of abuse because of their social standing. I mean some priests, Jimmy Saville etc etc.

Would loved to have asked James May when he was doorstepped if he seriously thought that being racially abused and violently assaulted was just a small little incident and was he implying that it should have been covered up?

This idiot should have been sacked for this behaviour and if this incident had happened to me I would insist to the BBC that he is sacked not just let of with just not having his contract renewed.
This implies that they are not taking what he has done seriously and any other employee in the BBC who is racist and violent towards a colleague can use Clarksons case to insist that they are let go, not sacked.

When I lived in England if you came across an Irishman getting racially abused or assaulted from someone you stepped in to help him regardless of whether you knew him or not, listening to idiotic "Irishmen" here, not only would they stand back and let the violent racist cowardly bully carry on but they would tell him afterwards that Jeremy just "tells it like it is" and he was only being Jeremy and maybe he might invite them to go with them for a pint.
    Nauseating.

All Top Gear fans would follow that trio in a new show, it was never a PC show, that was point. Sky would never hire them, you can't even look at someone the wrong way at Sky .
People need to realize that if you don't like the show don't watch it. It needs to be on the edge, nothing wrong with that. All complaints need to be laughed at and pushed to one side. Time erodes them.

    .............

Whatever Jeremy said to Oisin with regards to being Irish, I couldn't give a monkey's, for the simple reason that he has never ever come across as being anything other than a harmless bafoon at worst anytime that I have seen him interviewed. Even people that have fallen out with him say as much. Another thing that makes me like the guy is that he can take it as well as dish it out and often has done. Seems to me that people just want to believe that Clarkson is a mean spirited racist with little or nothing to justify having such an opinion. ......................

So you'll have no problem if some Irish lad tells him what he thinks of him for 20-30 minutes and sends him to the A&E then. Grand then so.

In fairness though, I could easily see Netflix sitting down and talking to all three, although I wouldn't bet on Richard Hammond joining the other two.

Fine David Beckham has just been confirmed as new presenter. Actually that could work.

Even more amazing the amount of people who follow three middle aged men acting out fantasys and generally indulging in laddish behViour that would not be tolerated in most towns and villages around the country.

Leave 'Last of the Summer Wine' out of this.

Chris Evans, Tiff Needell and Richard Hammond.

I've just been listening to the libertarian blogger Guido Fawkes on the Ray D'arcy show. I agree with him that, since the BBC s a public broadcaster, its license fee payers should be able to influence its decisions. A petition to reinstate Clarkson has gotten 1,033,933 signatures. However, a petition supporting the firing of Clarkson may get even more signatures as far as we know. I, for one, support violent bullies facing repercussions for their actions. People like Clarkson go around thinking they're larger than life and that they own everything around them precisely because they're not used to facing repercussions.

Given the seriousness of the assault, Clarkson got off very lightly.

And I'm sick of constantly hearing this false equivocation of 'not giving someone a platform' with 'censorship'. No ones rights were taken away when Clarkson got fired. His precious freedom of speech remains intact.

Not to the taste of the masses but I'd like to see more Martin Brundle on TV

Clarkson is a little Englander with a superiority complex. Realistically he could have gotten fired long before this.

You know folks, just because Oisin Tymon is Irish, it doesn't make him an angel. Like I said before, we don't know what was said. Maybe he lost sight of the line between the banter on the show and doing his job. I can't see Clarkson just losing the head because the hotel wouldn't serve a hot meal. There is no way he would tell a producer that they were going to lose their jobs because a hotel is refusing to serve steak when they have done all they could to deal with the problem. What I could see though is, Clarkson losing the head and saying what he did if after working all day and then it was laughed at that he wasn't getting a hot meal by the very person employed to ensure that he does.

Look, it's high pressured job and in a very much a lad's environment. How many footballers do we see losing it with fellow teammates. Didn't Alex Ferguson once kick a boot a David Beckham. Shit happens. He deserves to be disciplined for his behavior, I doubt anyone would argue that he doesn't but not for a one off scuffle and losing of his temper. It all just screams that certain parties at the BBC are using it as a stick to hit him with.

So now that Clarkson has gone, with the others likely to follow, will people still be watching Top Gear?

Did people still watch the Tonight Show after Johnny Carson left?
Could the irreplaceable Johnny be replaced?
Of course he could. The Tonight Show will continue for years and years.

I would contend that if you plan on switching off, now that the irreplaceable Clarkson and co have left then you really didn't like the 'show' in the first place and simply watched because of the cult of Clarkson with some fancy cars thrown in.

The idea that the show is done for now that the irreplaceable trio are gone is crazy.
I would hope that the BBC take a risk and take a chance on a Clarkson Mark 2. A passionate and young motor journalist, the comedy side kicks could come later.

Who here thinks that there isn't a market for the now vacant role as presenter of Top Gear? As if nobody would fancy a job like that??? Paid handsomely to travel the world and drive the world's most exotic car's.

I'm sure people said Jay Leno (who?), couldn't follow in Carson's role, it won't work, he's no Letterman etc etc.

Why do you think he has a superiority complex?

Good question. The man regular tears himself apart so I don't see how he could either.
