Is it just me, or is it clear that Sinn Fein's health proposals (scanty though they are) are in a complete shambles if nobody can tell what the hell they are doing about doctors' pay?

    Uh...what?
And yet another figure from Sinn Fein document
Ah, you see no problem with "Sinn Fein document". Of course you don't. It's not English, but of course you don't.

Or the decision to take it.
Maybe he thought he'd sneak in at that lever to get a new deal on the QT from Leo?
Or maybe he wanted to move back to a better country with his missus and her new high paid position?

Do high paid PS's not have to sign contracts? How was he able to walk away and wash dirty linen in public?

Who's nobody? Did you look it up? It's not our job you know.

    Cool story bro.
You are aware of the whole anecdote v data thing?

    Which bit is anecdotal?

In fact, the ED Taskforce wasn't set up until before Christmas and after the problem was well developed, so his time on that project was even shorter......should Shinner ministers only get the same length of time and no longer?
Just before Christmas Varadkar acknowledged publicly that there was a significant increase in emergency-department overcrowding since the summer and that much of the progress made since the Government came into office had been reversed. He convened a task force to find long-term solutions to overcrowding. He said “short-term solutions only work in the short term”.

    I agree. It's Sinn Fein's job. And it's a complete shambles.

    Who isn't in NI?

Are you a partitionist, Dan?
I'm not really interested in 32 counties at all TBH.
Again, what standards should we be holding SF ministers to when there aren't any in ROI? Anything else that doesn't exist you'd like to complain about?

    Oh, you spotted a typo?

    Very good.

Anybody whinging about money in a well paid job like that I would tell to leave/sack.
If money is distracting you 9 months into the job then something was wrong with the decision to give you the job in the first place.

Yes, how dare someone look for the going rate for the job.

I think you are addressing the wrong person in your rage. ;)

    I agree. It's Sinn Fein's job. And it's a complete shambles.
So because YOU don't know what SF's policy proposals are that is SF's fault? Sort of going to extraordinary lengths to find something to moan about aren't you?

So a policy that you can't or won't produce on thread, your thread, is 'a shambles'?
Tell you what, your thread is a shambles.:)

What rage? You butted in when I answered somebody else. If you're not really interested why did you bother?

I've gone to extraordinary lengths to find out what their policy is.

Still don't know. And nor do you.

LOL, somebody's not too happy about how their latest SF smear attack is working out... there was this policy proposal once... it's gone now... but it was terrible... so SF are bad, OK?

Dan, there's a 'private message' facility there for private messages. Messages posted here can be seen -and responded to - by everybody.

Yes, but I didn't start a thread pretending I did just to moan about it.

So? You're moaning that I asked you a question I asked another guy, but at the same time you're insisting you can answer posts I address to other people?
Is this a two-tier standard thing like the current health system?

Out of interest, what salary was he on in 2013 and if it was cut, who cut it?

Salary for the QLD Health D-G was AUS$463,000 at today's exchange rate that's about €330,000.

Do any of the (many) Sinn Fein supporters here know what Sinn Fein's proposals are for doctors' and consultant's pay under a Sinn Fein government?

If you don't know, why don't you?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 10,087 ✭✭✭✭Dan_Solo

    Oh, you spotted a typo?

    Very good.
But should it be "the document" or "a document"?
If both of them are wrong best to fudge it and put in neither, yes?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭LeeMajors

There is no policy. That's the problem.

So, you're now spending your time attacking a policy that doesn't exist?

It gets more surreal here by the minute.:)

Moaning? I was just pointing out that you were confused. Sorry if that further confused you! ;)

Perhaps we're not quite as obsessed with SF as some people are?

Lee, you don't seem to know what Sinn Fein's proposals are for the health service.

Why not? Does it not concern you?

Not confused at all. You answered my reply to somebody else and then moaned when I asked you the same question I asked them.
Not complicated. Everybody can see what you're doing.
