Did you not see him jump the first fence lto he jumped and landed sideways, also pulls like a train with his head in the air so couldn't be fully set up right to jump cleanly. He wont get away with those sort of things next week as good as he does look.

They absolutely crawled early that day, his jumping once the pace lifted was extremely slick. I can understand people having reservations about the price but I can't fathom anyone questioning his jumping.

His run in the Paddy Power this year would suggest otherwise. He travelled and jumped well but seemed to get tired 2 out. Another one I like the look of is Vintage Star.

Considering how bullish Keighley was I was quite disappointed with his run in the Paddypower but everyone sees a race differently.

Looks all over for champion court to me, but you can never be sure. If he still has the stomach for it then he's a great bet but i'll avoid.

JP getting the money down on Jezki today, every bookie has shortened him up to 9/2 or less now.

I spoke to the breeder/former owner of Jezki last night. He reckons he won't win if McCoy rides.

A lot of hype around Willie Mullins runners especially on the first day. E/W looks to be the way to go in the Supreme Novices and The Arkle.

I like Alvisio Ville 16/1 e/w think he will go well.

I backed Smashing 40/1 e/w still 25/1 available. He put in a good performance behind UDS and Johnny Burke was bullish about him being placed.

Me Grapes is that Ladbrooks offer just for today and is it betting shops or account only?cheers fella

No, it's definitly their Cheltenham shop promotion, so both offers stand from today until the races go off in shop.

Re: online, I know the SS offer is available online, but I'm not sure about the Ruby one.

Backed him at 95 last week on BF for a small stake, I'd give him a chance. He was dismounted after the line lto as he was wobbling and then scoped badly so that can be discounted

No chance tbh, seems like the kind of horse that finds little when push comes to shove!

Then again, I have been wrong before :P

Mick Fitzgerald has some previews on the ATR site. He mentioned Alvisio Ville as an e/w prospect in the Supreme novices and Three Kingdoms e/w in the Arkle as alternatives to the short priced favourites in both races.

I know he has more flat bred types and usually comes unstuck at the festival but I can see John Ferguson goin close in a few races this season as they seem more geared towards the festival than usual. Three Kingdoms, Parlour Games, Qewy, Arabian Revolution in the Fred Winter who was 2nd to Beltor. Plenty of handicap chances too.

Re the supreme, what do people think is the better of these options?

Had planned on backing Alvisio Ville and L'ami Serge on the nose with PP and getting the money back if Douvan wins. Hardly any point doing LS each way but would it be better to do AV each way? And obvs lose the money back guarantee.

Probably for the best, while his debut was remarkable and he looks a huge talent they are probably better off getting him some more experience in a lesser race before going hurdling next season.

If you do AV each way the Money Back special still applies to the win part of the bet. GL

He's actually correct - cross country is always abbreviated to x country, xcountry, and even xc in all equestrian sports.

I'd actually be really sorry to see the cross country race go - even though I'm not a big fan of the course they have, I still like what it represents.

Thats because nobody as smart as me brought it up before.

It's all about Silver Concorde lads, I'm telling you.

Also, I was talking to Bryan Cooper last week and asked him to pick one horse of his mounts he fancies the most, he said Don Cossack.

He will land one sooner or later. Hit the crossbar with New Years eve couple yrs back.

Thought he was unlucky with Cotton Mill when he ran out when going well with Simonsig.

Can't have Three Kingdoms personally but i'd like to think he will go close with his handicap horses. It will take the ride of the meeting to get Parlour Games to win as he needs to be produced on the line

Not sure if he's running, was pulled from the Champion Hurdle. 2 1/2 miles around for the Aintree Hurdle would suit down to the ground imo
