The proper stuff has arrived in Dublin 16...starting to go white now.

I thought the showers would be more of the fluffy sticky nature this evening, it's only in the heavier bursts that it does damage.

Getting much heavier now, beginning to stick slightly due to the intensity but still mostly wet ground

Heavy snow falling in South Dublin but wind just blowing it around rather than settling

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭Nabber

Nice snow now in Dublin 4. Temp is around 2c here. So it's nay going to stick as temps are now.

Nice to see that a westerly finally made it all the way across.

Forgot how beutiful nature is when you set it against an old concrete lamp post that pollutes the sky with its 1980s light bulb :)

That shower has cleared (Dublin 16) now. Has left all surfaces white, with the exception of roads (which are just slushy). 0.9c now.

Missed out on that one by a matter of 1 or 2 km's. Bit of a goldilocks zone for showers tracking west just south of the M6/M4 corridor atm. Some pretty heavy snow showers heading in to the south midlands.

An inch of thundersnow in 12 minutes. Very impressed!

Kermit, how do you think Galway will do tonight?

Kermit, how do you think Galway will do tonight?

Potentially quite well later on. More likely closer to the coast later on tonight. Best place to be is a few miles inland places like Shannon, Limerick, Castlebar, Guam etc.

    ...Guam etc.

Huh? Any one in Guam confirm snow?

Hills of north Kilkenny have been white since the heavy snow during the afternoon.
Currently there is ice and snow, temperature is 0.0C, DP is -0.3C. More snow on the way according to the radar.
