This reminds me of a B&B I stayed in years ago, while travelling for work. The hotel nearby was booked out, but this place seemed fine.

Nice house, but the meanest of the mean, anywhere they thought they could get away with it. I still remember the watered down orange juice, more like water that got shown the orange juice, fleetingly. So glad I was only there one night.

The place was full of Americans, it was in a really good location for tourism. I remember thinking this was going to be their impression of Irish 'hospitality'.

I hate meanness above almost any other trait.

Me too. I have name of not liking people and being a crank but I cannot abide cruelty to children, old people, animals etc. Anyone or anything that can't defend itself

Pain and insomnia. Haven't slept well this week due to multiple pain areas. I could go to sleep right now but instead I'm gonna have to drag my ass out of my pajamas and go to GP since I'm low on painkillers.:(

The gym was good after all yesterday and I had enough energy left over to dance with the hoover for an hour when I got home, but there were a couple of TAs.

The first being that I can never remember the four digit code for the changing room. If I went on my own I'd have to ask the receptionist every time. The key ring wrist band for my locker was broken. I thought I could see teeth marks on it. Animal! So that kept falling off.

The toilets in the changing room flush really violently and they don't have lids so I have to jump back to avoid getting splashed. Then the high heart rate warning kept coming up on the treadmill, scaring the crap out of me. Yes, I know I'm unfit, thanks.

When I was doing the shoulder press weight thingy, trying not to get mashed mammaries, there was this 14 year old boy sitting at the machine in fron of me gawping at my chest. Can't teenagers have a separate gym for fcuck's sake?!

Oh and the rowing machines have been moved to a place where they can't be used properly. They put in a new pully stretchy thingy (big machine name expert here

) and moved the rowing machines in front of that. So when someone rows back they're nearly hitting off the person who's stretching in the pully weight thingy.

I think that's it. My apologies for gym post! It's always a nerve-wracking experience!

I am kinda handy in the kitchen, and am currently on a bit of a curry binge, so making a lot of Indian food (From scratch), I have piles of spices, seeds, leaves and jars of stuff, which stink the gaff up no end. To avoid spillages like you mentioned, and to keep the aroma to a minimum, I put everything in two large plastic storage boxes, and keep it in the utility room.

Reminds me of a TA from this morning. Walk outside the house, open the door of the car, take a big deep morning fresh breadth of air...... massive smell of curry in the air. It was delicious, and I'm ready to eat the boll*x off a low flying duck.

Me too! I wonder what I'll be like when I'm older. People think I am weird or that I am attention seeking when I say I prefer the company of animals but it is generally true. I'm not a recluse, but I do love going home to my babies. A day spent outside with the dogs in the forest and playing in the garden with the cats or decorating their little house for them etc. I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. Maybe it's because I have exposure to a lot of people during the day, commuting and at work. I have a few close friends that I cherish, and love spending time with. I'll often share a bottle of wine with the Dad and my mam is my best friend, but that is really as far as it goes. People who know me describe me as personable, witty etc and I don't hate people - I can just take them or leave them. My animals though....God I love the bones of them, and I pity the fool who lays a finger on any of them

Don't encourage me, I'm just wallowing in self pity. Not so trivial annoyance, the toddler that was at the special clinic I attended this week. The clinic was for illnesses that are challenging to treat, they bring in consultants from all over Munster and basically brainstorm. Anyways, there was a gorgeous little kid, why are they always heartbreakers when they're ill? Not that it would matter if they were ugly. Anyways, chronically ill kids, it's depressing.:(

ONW I'm the same I have a couple of good friends we go out for a meal occasionally. But I'm closest to my Husband, My Mommy and my sisters.
Ps 2 months in and we're at 6,300 posts might beat out previous record.

I'm watching Leaders Questions and there's a TD saying that Prison Officers should have stab vests and retractable batons. Am I the only one that just assumed that they already had these things as standard? Surely it's patently obvious that they would need them

People are nasty, I don't like people much at all. My dad was my absolute best friend, like from when I was tiny the entire way through. I didn't like my mother all that much, although that was teenage rebellion that I never really got a chance to grow out of. My brother is a dispicable human being - even going into it makes me feel like I should be on the jermey kyle show. I love the luckiest man in ireland, for sure, but would I be devastated if he left? No. My friends? I love them too but it honestly wouldnt bother me if they never talked to me again. The only person in my life that I panic about losing/her getting hurt/something happening to her, is my friends little girl, my 2 year old bestie. She's probably the only person I really really really really love. Everyone else can go shyte.

But animals, man animals are amazing. I would happily live amongst animals and not interact with other people. Growing up on a farm, we had lots of pets. Mama cow, I grew up with her, so much so that I think she thought I was her calf. She would do that really low mooing sound they do at new born calves. I had pet sheep, I had cats, dogs, cattle. Now I have a pig. And they are honestly 100% better to be around.

There's a video, I don't want to post it on here because some of you have lost parents and I don't want to upset people that I consider to be friends. It's called "A letter to my child" and it's possibly the saddest video I have ever watched. And yet....I keep watching it and crying! And then I start texting my mum telling her how much I love her and calling my Dad to say hi just because I appreciate the fact that I still can. They think I am insane... What TF is wrong with me? Why intentionally make yourself cry? Yeugh

I'd like to nominate the Ford Motor Company for this week's "Big Fat Fcuk You!!" award. In particular, their 2009 Fiesta model that features, among other bits-and-pieces, a red dashboard warning-lamp the purpose of which is to inform you that the outside temperature is at 0C or lower. This of course sends some of their elderly owners, such as my mother, who were taught, rightly, that a red warning lamp in a car means something possibly potentially dangerous that needs attending to immediately, into a bit of a tizzy.

So fcuk you, Ford. Just fcuk you.

Car makers do a great job of pissing me off too.
My rear parking detector is faulty and the car computer has picker up on this. So everytime put the key in the ignition I get alarms warning me loudly about the faulty parking detectors. Who the fck wants to hear that at 7am- it would be more pleasant to crash the fcking car?
