Frivolous appeals should result in an increased ban.

Although banning Simonsen is a joke. What are ye going to do for a keeper btw? Is Bell back yet?

i thought betting on your own games would warrant a heftier ban than that.

He didn't bet in any of his own games though

Were The Rangers players not in trouble in the last year or two for gambling on matches?

Yeah Ian Black was but I would be very surprised if you didn't know that Bobby

I had an idea but couldn't remember off hand, leave the paranoia to us!

Anyway, he's lucky to only get 2 games as he should have known what he was doing was against the rules (as stupid as they might be).

2 game ban confirmed for McCulloch, 2 game ban for Simonsen too for betting on 55 games.

Do the Scottish authorities not extend bans for spurious appeals??

Agreed the rules are there so follow them or pay a heavy price. Personally as the rules stand they are pathetic and need changed

Nope. Remember in the old club's last season, McCulloch (sensing a theme here) got sent off for elbowing some lad in the face (he turned around and checked where his marker was, then cracked him in the face). They were playing us a week later so he appealed it, got to play in the game, ruined Kayal's career then sat out the original suspension.

Didn't really deserve to lose yesterday I felt, played a lot better than in recent weeks.
But Hibs are a very decent team though, their second was a great goal.

Didn't see the game as I was down in Dublin for a Hospital appointment then traveling but reading about it on the forum I use it would seem you are spot on

Honestly I'm kind of Fed up with all the negative stuff about Rangers but naively what would be the best way forward for the club? Say - starting from a whole new sheet and putting as much of the past behind as possible , what would be the best scenario for the club? I'd be very interested to hear from non Rangers supporters really.

Really oh I can imagine some of the replys for the whole new sheet. Honestly and I am not being nasty here but you are being very very naive.
Why not wait until the EGM no matter what happens lots will change at Rangers

In an ideal world, they'd be folded up... Assets sold to pay back the poor sods left out of pocket by the shambles of an administration process.... But it's not an ideal world.

In a normal world, the liquidators would have squeezed far more for the assets than was sold to Sevco and repaid out of pocket creditors including ordinary working folk who were shafted

The idea of a wipe debts and start again clean is puerile

That's exactly what liquidation does for every single company in the world... except for Rangers Plc.

Where is this magical EGM taking place? London or a boat out in the Atlantic?

Oh I do like constructive criticism.

I wonder what those changes could be though - you can't get rid of everybody on the board and the so called spivs will hang on for dear life as they see Rangers as a cash cow and will be almost impossible to get rid of.

I don't think it has been said its a magical EGM far from it. Well the spivs are well and truly in a corner and trying everything the can to gain votes. I imagine King will be looking at all the legalities of what's going on. If the spivs have there way the moon is a good bet for where it will be held. The who;e thing is crazy when there is a perfectly good stadium there

King is another one of them "spivs", I'm not sure what kind of magical transformation is expected under his stewardship if it comes to pass. He says the right things, so did Whyte and so did Green. Words are cheap yet they are given more credence than his fraudulent actions.

There's far too much weight being attached to the venue issue, votes can be delegated to a proxy. If anything it allows King to walk in knowing exactly which way the chips will be falling.

Oh I know the votes can be delegated by proxy so do those that matter. The whole venue issue is an attempt by Ashleys puppets to muddy the waters.
I have said all along I am not sure about King but to be honest he can't be any worse than what we have the fact that there are others involved I do trust.

Actually you can, that's the whole point of the EGM.

Shareholders will vote on who leaves the board and who joins it.

I don't think we'll get rid off all of them, but the vast majority would be a great move forward.

And if the board keep stalling King will get to decide where the EGM is held.

They really are pulling out all stops now to try and get the EGM postponed or cancelled. Llambias claimed he was attacked in a pub in Glasgow, Police Scotland said they have received no complaint or mention of said incident.

Actual tears in my eyes watching that.... :pac: :D :pac: :D

Rangers Fan Board have disbanded tonight.

They had a meeting with Llambias and Leach, the minutes appeared online and within half an hour were taken down again. Luckily they had them put online somewhere else.

    http://www.thecoplandroad.org/2015/02/rangers-fan-board-meeting-minutes.html#more

Full of lies and spin again.
They haven't spoken to Ashley in 5 months yet approve a loan from him :pac:

edit: Just saw that Rangers First have passed the 10.000 members mark. Largest fan ownership group in the UK I believe.
Buy Rangers is sitting around 4000 members.

    I love Question 72:

"Why were the Malaysians at Ibrox?"

It's a pity for you guys that the "unquestioning, all accepting, non-protesting, brown brogue wearing, 'Mr' calling, doff your cap to your superiors" has multiple of those amounts of members.

If Dave King wins at the EGM could administration be a real prospect seeing as Mike Ashley controls so much of the trademarks and retail?

Still huge questions over the assets as well.

But Dave is a multi-millionaire and is pure gonna pump millions into the club after the EGM. He's a Rangers man, don't you know.
