Bully for Nice. Maybe it's about time the SFA actually did the job
The only time in the past decade they've actually done their job (after a series of attempts to twist the rules and avoid doing so) all your fans were furious with them and claimed they were out to get you.

This is your biggest problem. You can do something about it, stop going to games, stop giving the board money. Its that simple

Have to agree there. Beyond a joke at this stage, McDowall is desperate to be put on gardening leave like McCoist.

    What next?

I wouldn't give my club another penny if that was going on.

First time in the history of the club an AGM or EGM has been held outside of Glasgow.

Tells you all you need to know, they are running scared of the outcome and will try to prevent as much Bears as possible of attending.

edit: As for Celtic fans saying Rangers fans should stay away and stop giving money to the club: Season tickets and attendances have already plummeted, with plenty of fans not spending another penny (even on merchandise).

We don't need any advice regarding that.

edit: Good to see Chris McLaughlin swallow the spin from Jack Irvine hook, line and sinker :pac:

BBC Sport learns the man who launched Premier League Cricket in India, Lalit Modi, has expressed interest in buying into #Rangers.

They're slacking, not even any mention of a war chest.

That there's no tents available for hire in Glasgow?

Shouldn't call Rangers fans "Bears", it's dehumanising.

I'd imagine they are worried about the fallout if/when King loses. They've seen after the Hearts game how violent the fans can become. Attacking a lady and a 70yo staff member for trying to close a door.

Any shareholder can proxy their vote, so it doesn't matter if the EGM is held in Glasgow, London or Ibiza. So I doubt it's a vote scuppering plan.

I don't believe there is a chance King and the 3 Bears will lose the EGM.

As for the rest of your post, whatever you say :roll eyes:
I must have been mistaken then when I heard a young Rangers fan got a bottle thrown in his face by a Celtic fan.

Because after all, only Rangers have violent fans.

One scumbag out of how many people. I'm sure the MET will have Manchester on their minds as they police this event.

Mike could win on a technicality, Dave King is banned by company law from being on the board of an AIM company, the weasels in Hampden may let him through their "rigorous" fit and proper test, but the laws not gonna bend for him.

There were more incidents, like a father being kicked on the head in front of his son.

And as far as I know Dave King is not banned from being a director of an AIM company.

    He says this himself too:
But King told PA: "There are no problems regarding the AIM regulations and the issue with the SFA is simple. Only once a director is appointed is an application made to the SFA by the club.

"Both myself and Paul will have to deal with our previous directorship at the time that Craig Whyte got involved. Additionally, I will have to deal with my reasons for staying on the board and trying to impose some level of governance during the Whyte era.

"I will also deal with my favourable settlement in South Africa.

"These are all issues that the SFA rightly has to address in the same way that the SFA has to review the history of anyone who gets involved with a Scottish football team.

"That was all considered by me prior to my application - as was the likelihood that the incumbent board will use the media to try to influence the debate by misrepresentation.

The season tickets, gate receipts & merchandise is no doubt in the millions if not tens of millions.

Cant say that you're doing enough tbh

    Yep,

Not like Dave has form for porkies, “The court are unanimous in finding that he [King] is a mendacious witness whose evidence should not be accepted on any issue unless it is supported by documents and other objective evidence. It was remarkable that King showed no sign of embarrassment or any emotion when he conceded that he had lied to the (Sars) commissioner in a number of his income tax returns. In our assessment, he is a glib and shameless liar.”

That statement is a joke coming from the board.

Too busy attacking King but they seem to forget that one of their own actually did do jail time for fraud. Not to mention the balls on them to complain about how much of a liar King is after all the stuff Llambias came out with :pac:

The fact you use their words is hilarious in itself by the way.

That wasn't said by the board, it was the court in South Africa that dealt with his tax evasion

The board referred to the court case and decided to quote those exact words in their latest statement to discredit King, so it can be easily seen as their point of view as well.

Again, this from a bunch of people who have 1 convicted fraudster amongst themselves too.

The board is not the source, those words are valid.

    Read what I said.

They specifically took out those words from the court verdict in some pathetic attempt to show up King.

It's a bad attempt in smearing his name while they themselves are responsible for the mess the club is in, whilst having someone in their ranks who did jail time for fraud.

It doesnt matter who has latched onto the judgement by the South African courts, its the truth. Its the 'point of view' of a country that did a detailed investigation and took King to court and cross examined him under oath. Your Baghdad Bob routine is still in fine fettle I see!

Its kettle calling the pot black between the two groups that are wrestling for control but is backing the lesser of two evils, as some perceive it, really good enough? You can blame the SFA for not intervening but this we're helpless routine thats in full swing is also not really making yourselves been heard. These people listen to money, and there is too many of ye still supporting the regime.

I did read what you said and I'll point out again that that opinion on King originates from an independent source (the current board repeating them doesn't affect their validity)

King smeared his own name a long time ago,

King is a charlatan and a fraudster, You seem to equate being against King as being in favour of the current board - that is not the case.

    Deflect, Deflect, Deflect.

They were told about Whyte, "timmy" was scared.
They were told about Green, "timmy" was scared.
They are being told about King, "timmy" is scared.

Fool me once, shame on you
Fool me twice, shame on me
Fool me three, four, five times, WATP

Don't pretend you're all clued up about King. What happened between him and SARS is there for everyone to see, King has been very open about it and the sheer fact that at this moment the South African government is one of his biggest clients should say enough about how he is viewed there.

King made a mistake, he paid for it and has refused the chance to fight the verdict after it came to light that several SARS investigators may or may not have used unlawfucl practices to spy on government officials and business men, including King.
He and the SA government seem to be on fine footing again, and that's good enough for me and most of the Rangers fans.

You can play your 'Lol they so stupid, they keep falling for it' act but you know what ? Nobody cares.

I expect the 'head in sand loyal' comments ;)

More bad news, just lost to Raith 2-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,704 ✭✭✭Broxi_Bear_Eire

And Rangers go out of the Scottish cup deservedly beaten 2-1 by Raith Rovers.
A rangers team full of spinless players some who don't care about the club. One wee silver lining no more Scottish Cup money for the spivs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

King is absolutely right when he says that the entire team needs to be overhauled.

An insane amount of wage-stealing **** players in there.
