Roxy and Charlie was so predictable but those two have better chemistry with each other than with their partners. Saying that Roxy is making a habit of whatever my sister has I want. The invisible daughters dad was Jack, Ronnies last babies daddy. So glad Roxy isn't my sister ;-)

You're right you know! This is the only reason they put them together imo

I know Lauren didn't have time to look at the test but I hope she wiped it before shoving it in Stacey's hand.

    Beautiful :pac:

    I thought Roxy's baby was Sean Slater's?

Amy's daddy is Jack Branning aka Ronnie's ex husband

Sean Slater thought he was the dad until Jack's sister revealed all to him in the Vic, cant remember her name I think she was with Phil

I like Stacey, and Lacey Turner playing her, but I think she is overacting in her stint this time which is putting me off a bit. Sorry just had to get that off my chest :D

Does anyone like the Lauren Branning character? I just feel we're meant to care about her and while I acknowledge there are many reasons for her personality I think her pretty face has a lot to do with things? I also don't rate Jac Jossa's acting at all.

i think her character is very strong and she is a good actor. far more personable and likeable than Bland Beale. he definitely would be nothing without his physical features.

:D Hmm ok maybe I agree there. Only up to a point though, I won't miss either of them for their permanent and temporary departures. They have no chemistry together either.

How is Lauren alive she was told if she had 1 more drink she would die

I think both are good actors. Ben Hardy has been given very little to do in his time there. I thought he was brilliant on the aftermath of Lucy's death. He carried a lot of the Beale scenes. Unfortunately they seem to have forgotten about him again the past few months.

I like Lauren, she's by far the most likable Branning. I will say though that I think she's run her course a bit, as have all the Brannings, if we're honest.

I've said it before but I actually think they make a good couple and the scenes between them can be quite sweet. I like Lauren (when she's not having bratty tantrums) and think Jac Jossa portrays her well. And the lad who plays Peter has shown when given the material like after Lucys death he can deliver but he's underused a lot these days.

I think people are taking that a bit too literally. At the time she was drinking heavily and her liver was soaked in alcohol maybe one drink would have finished her off.

I always get the feeling she's not acting so much as playing an extended version of herself. But loads of soap actors get this accusation, I could be very wrong and it's just Lauren I don't like :P

ok, maybe in real life she is sexy and pregnant but hopefully she isnt an alcoholic, hopefully she isnt implicated in a murder , hopefully her father isnt a philanderer or she doesnt get it on with family members or her sister isnt a psycho.............. you get the drift!!

None of that has anything to do with the way she acts, and she doesn't play an alcoholic particuarly well. I just think she's hilariously overrated and it's a bit insulting to put her in the same league as actors such as Lacey Turner.

i was only joking........................ just hyperboling the difference!

miaow! she is a decent enough actor for a soap, nothing special but a lot better than your average young good looking actress. i am not sure who said anything about her "being in the same league as lacey turner" but dont be too insulted!! im sure Lacey isn't too turmoiled by the comparison!

"Average good looking actress" :D So we are judging actors differently based on this?

No not here but other places compare the likes of her (and Peter Beale) as if they're on the same level as others. Personally I'd hire a cast strong in their individual roles but I guess soaps don't have this luxury :P

Well. ... Lauren was in the bathroom by herself with a locked door and came out with the pregnancy test. She was sick earlier and nearly fainted. Stacey was also telling her she couldn't ignore it, it wouldn't go away etc.

    Pretty sure it's Laurens.

i also thought she played some of the drunk scenes well to be honest also

Acting on a soap is different from acting on other TV shows or films. The turnaround is so quick that they don't have time to do multiple takes or rehearse things over and over. Loads of soap actors turn up on other shows after their soap lives and are surprisingly good actors when compared to what they were able to produce on EE or Corrie or whatever soap it may have been.

Very true. Some are also embarrassingly bad. I'm just saying a soap is not the best way to judge an actors abilities. Neither is a TV show or film that had months to shoot a few hours of content and weeks of rehearsal beforehand. You need to see a person in more than one rile, I think, before you can really get an idea of how good or bad they are.

I think Steve McFadden aka Phil Mitchell is effortlessly good and seems passionate about what he does too.

you are missing the point. its a soap and young characters around laurens age when they are initially brought in tend to err on the side of good looking that will appeal to viewers. you would be naive to ignore the advantage that an actress/actor in the late teens/early 20s age gap being attractive has for publicity for soap, hence actresses like michelle keegan, hetti bywater, the girl that plays katy in corrie, jacqueline jossa and te whole cast of home and away and hollyoaks generally. its just the way of the market. it may be rare a real talented actress spins from these but JJ is definitely not a bad actress and she certainly has a massive fan base due to her looks, moreso than her acting, so why would EE not want her there? she was also hired at 16/17 so hardly likely they could really establish her acting credentials then!

theatre is a different thing. looks are definitely only a small factor but on soaps in that age gap looks are a huge factor, so no i wasnt judging her acting credentials by her looks, i was merely saying for a young good looking soap actress in such a young good looking soap actor market, she is by far not the worst actress.

ive never seen anyone insulting lacey by comparing her to JJ so i can not comment on that but if i do, trust me ill make it known to them!!!!!

    just kidding!

Sorry emanresu I was just saying I find her overrated for the wrong reasons in certain quarters, I'm not saying she's a bad actor or even not good just not as good as I am often used to. I don't have a huge issue with her :D Certainly better than the likes of Hetti Bywater!
