Thinking Adam Johnson & Sanchez out. Silva & Cazorla in. Madness getting rid of Sanchez? Is he going to be fit for early Sat kick off and a midweek game shortly after?

It's gotta be Walcott or Pelle out. Pelle, first. He's done nothing for a while now.

I agree re Pelle but he's away to one of the worst defences in the League this weekend, who have just had to appoint a new manager.

Don't know how reliable the source is but to quote it "Sánchez can almost-certainly be expected to return to the starting XI against Tottenham" => Big Double Injury Boost for Arsenal Head of North London Derby.

Is your double move for a -4? If so, not sure it's worth it.

    How much in the bank?

I'd change Pellè. Giroud is in form and has good upcoming fixtures. I think the North London derby is often a high scoring game. I don't see any (other) obvious candidate for this GW anyway...
What if you get Defoe and upgrade Johnson? Who would you be able to afford then? Silva? Eriksen? Cazorla? Though that'll probably mean points hit(s)...

I agree overall but QPR are a different animal at home. Have no idea what the new manager thing could do though...

I'd do nothing this week you have a strong team and make 2 next gw.

My exit strategy for Pelle if he looks crap again is Defoe. We'll see their lineup against QPR before GW lock and he has another nice looking fixture after. He then easily turns into Kane for DGW28.

Whether winning or not though, QPR are far from tight at the back.

Right, I'm possibly mad but I'm considering holding Bertrand through the ban.

The only alternative I'd likely be going for is Alderweireld, who I was considering downgrading to at some stage anyway to save 1m. But the 1m doesn't make a huge difference to the structure of my team. I can afford Studge, Aguero and Giroud plus 3 big (Sanchez/Haz/ADM) mids and one 6m ish mid (currently AJ). Not much to be gained upping the budget for that 4th mid to 7m as far as I can see.

Meanwhile Bertrand looked really really good attacking wise against Swansea in the highlights, I'm starting to think he might be worth the 1m over Alder.
If he was available I'd most probably be playing him every week for the next three, however I wouldn't be that confident of a CS away to QPR this week, WHU and Liverpool at home after are not gifts either. This week I'm stretched and probably have to play Bellerin at Spurs unless Baird makes a triumphant return for WBA. But next week my three alternatives are PVA (QPR h), Bellerin (Leicester h & hoping he wont be rotated admittedly) and Terry (Everton h), while for the third week of the suspension I have Palace (a) WBA (h) and Burnley (h) for the above three.

So unless I really really want to free up that extra 1m I think saving a precious transfer for the Blank and DGW could be the way to go. Anybody care to disagree?

    Heaton Hamer
    Pva Baines Jones Clichy wisdom
    ADM Hazard Sanchez Elia albrighton
    Kane Aguero carroll

Ive already done bertand to clichy, and regret due to kolarav maybe playing. Should I take a -4 have 1m in bank

Anyone know what the story is with Alderweireld? Looking to swap Bertrand out for a fellow Southampton defender.

I got alderweireld in my wildcard early jan and have ended up just keeping him as the rest of my defenders had good fixtures. If Baird gets his place back and you don't need the money I'd hold due to hhow valuable each transfer is now with the blank dgw and the fact bertrand has a good gw 27 fixture.

    That my thinking on it.

Even without Baird I can make it, unless Bellerin gets dropped or rotated, through the next 3 weeks. Baird getting back in for Burnley this coming GW would be a bonus.

Thats partly why I risked Baird in the wildcard, I think in the rotation between him, Bellerin and PVA for 1 place I only really needed him starting in GW32 so had plenty of time to fix it if he got dropped.

Koeman said last week he 'hoped' he'd be available this week. He'll most likely give a clear cut update at the press conference tomorrow. He's probably a bit better than 50/50 in my opinion.

    "on Alexis...
The latest is that Alexis is not ready. He is not far away, the Leicester game is a possibility. He is of course very difficult to keep quiet! He is training but it's light training."

I guess I'm doing Sanchez to Silva then......

Already in -4 territory so do I keep Sanchez and play Walters or sell for Silva???

Think it was the Telegraph that said he might miss the next two.

I'll be doing the same. Had them both since the very beginning so far too much money tied up in them.

Will have to consider a -4 for Sanchez to Cazorla now. Can sell him for 10.9 and hopefully he will drop to 11.2/11.1 so I won't lose too much in getting him back later on. Either that or hold Sanchez and just play Boyd but rival has Cazorla so I'm wary of him getting another bumper score this weekend.

Not sure what to do with Sanchez. Getting 10.9 for him.
Walcott, Ozil, Cazorla all options as replacement but it would mean a minus 4?

Who's on your bench? I would hold and then transfer him out once you see the Leicester team sheet.

Sanchez out for Silva most likely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

Sigh. Have Sanchez since he was a lad, bought at 10.3 so selling at 10.9, lose 0.5m to transfer him out for probably one match?

I doubt he'll drop much more than 0.2, 0.3 max so would cost 0.2 to 0.3 to buy back, plus more importantly use up 2 precious transfers. Dunno what to do now!

As iroced said elsewhere, it would have made sense to sell him before last GW if there had been any indication he'd be out this long, he's already dropped 0.2 so I could have sold (probably for Cazorla) at 10.9 and been looking at buying back for maybe 11.0 so breaking even with Cazorlas rises (not to mention Cazorlas 17 points).

It's not a great midfield to be honest. Front 8 as follows
Sanchez, Hazard, Puncheon, Downing, Albrighton, Aguero, Kane, Giroud.

    8.8 itb!!
